# I tend to be of the opinion that the "Resteem" is a valuable tool for the platform which serves an extremely important purpose, but that this feature need not be incentivized in terms of the "Resteemer" being rewarded for his or her service to the original blogger. 

# Here's why:

**The Resteem is great. It allows for lesser-known authors who are pumping out great content to get noticed. It allows for old, buried content to be revitalized and reintroduced to new viewers.** ***It allows for valuable relationships to be forged, networking to be facilitated, and for Steemit as a platform, as a whole, to be more self-integrated and self-sustaining.***

# Why I don't think Resteems need to be rewarded.

The Resteem is kind of a reward in and of itself. If someone resteems my content, I stand a chance to garner more votes, and thus a larger monetary compensation for my content. If someone resteems my post, I know immediately they value my content, or something I said, intimated, or proposed therein, more than "the average bear." 

***When someone Resteems your stuff, you know you've connected. Many times this means you also have a new follower.*** The beauty of Steem is that those authors you dig, like you, are continually amassing Steem Power. This means that as you increase in clout blogging, collecting SP, and honing your craft, *so do they.* AND SO DO THEIR VOTES.
The potential for synergistic relationships and exponential growth on Steemit is often overlooked and at worst, not even brought to the average Steemian's awareness. 

# Investment in Steem is more than just putting your money or content in. It is building relationships with people of like goals, mindsets, and passions, to the end of creating a synergy that will benefit both yourself and the entire Steem community, in the end...which...in the real end, BENEFITS YOU!!! 

Thus, introducing rewards for Resteeming a post is a redundancy, in my opinion. Market incentives for resteeming already exist, and in a big way.
