I have just had a massive good idea, well it will be good if it works. As all gardeners probably have the same problem with snails and slugs eating there plants, well my brain has surprised me with this little idea. I have tried everything to keep snails and slugs away from my plants, I recently stood my pots onto a cat deterrent, it plastic and very spiky, it seems to be helping a little but my big idea is. **Wrap double sided sticky tape (use the strongest one you can get) around your pots then when the little beasts climb up the side of your pots they will become stuck and hopefully die.** *I have enough to add to 2 pots, reordered more for my other pots.* <center> </center> I may have to do it twice to make a bigger border, this will hopefully stop them getting to my plants. *I will be keeping a close eye on it and let you know if it works or not.* Whilst i was out there having the brain wave I noticed a few Sunflowers growing, the flowers on some of the plants are starting to show. I took photo of 2 but there is a few more I am keeping my eyes on. <center> </center> These are on the Red and Giant Red Sunflowers, I am loving how quick these are showing and how low they are, I am now hoping for a lot more Sunflowers. I am saving all the brown paper bags for when we need to retrieve the seeds, I get a few paper brown bag from ordering food from Amazon. I have quite a few Seed growing in my greenhouse, once they are strong enough they will be added to my Sunflower wall, I am going to be using quite a few more pots than I first expected. Thankfully I didn't sell all of my pots I saved a few just in case. My garden is coming along nicely, What I need next is hubby to grab the garden brush and clear up all the dry leaves and mess then we can sort the seats out so we an both sit out there and enjoy the weather. **ON TO THE REST OF MY DAY.** I am becoming very worried about my oldest dog, I have 3 Geordie, Mika & Luna, Geordie is the oldest. He is around 14, we aren't exact on his age as the person wee took Geordie from wasn't precise with his age, All we got was he is around 3, we have had him for 11 years. <center> </center> He is a little old man now, he finds getting up the stairs hard, jumping on and off the bed and sofa plus his sight is deteriorating, his eyes look as if they are glazing over. He is still pretty fit thinking he can erm have a little fun with my youngest dog, he keeps jumping on her but think he's forgot what he needs to do not that he can do anything as he has been spayed. He usually goes out for a walk about 3 times but lately he has started going out a lot more plus he goes out as soon as he gets in the house, I think he is starting to forget he has already been out. At bedtime he will ask to get held off the bed then go for a drink, he stops before drinking then come back to bed, he does that a few times, I now set him down at the water bowl so he see's the water. I am worried in case he has doggy dementia. He also has a few teeth problems that would need him being knocked out, the Vet said its not a good idea with his age. I am dreading the day I lose him, my hubby bought him for me 11 years ago when I was going through a bad depression, he has been by my side ever since. He is my best friend.
