## I had one of these moments last week when you realize that your camera is really not doing enough to actually capture the scenery. The other option is surely that I am not capable of getting the perfect settings for it. I guess it is a combo of both of these things.

This shot was taken with my phone earlier in the week. On itself you would say, a nice shot! Lake Luzern (AKA Vierwaldstattersee) in the sunset with dark clouds coming in. But reality was striking to me, this was a magical minute where all kinds of things where happening in the sky, and I wasn't able to capture ANY of it!

### Because what you DON'T see is the alsmost full moon in the lighter piece of the sky.

### And you also DON'T see the tips of all the mountains turning red because there was a lot of moist in the sky.

### If other words, all of a sudden the picture turned average!!

Now I realize that shooting with a smartphonecamera is often not considered as real photography. But honestly, when I was living in the Caribbean it was easily capable of doing the trick because the daily colors are so vibrant there. Here in a bit darker Europe it surely is more challenging to make the right shot.

One of the most important features to this is KNOWLEDGE of what you are doing! The worldwide web has loads of talented photographers who are willing to share their knowledge on how to create this and to do, and mostly what NOT to do to get the perfect shot. @hetty-rowan is one of these photographers who shares here knowledges on the tips and tricks as you can see in an example of [one of here blogs here](https://steemit.com/photomag/@hetty-rowan/photography-beginners-mistakes). This blog is not at all on how good your camera is, but how you handle it.

## We tent to forget that, and just think we need new stuff :)

Also a while back, my mom asked be if getting a good camera might be a good idea for me. I was giving this some thought but then I also realize I am also not the person that will always have her camera present. Even with my phone I often find it too much effort to take it out, while realisticly this isn't a real drama hahaha. Do you already see me biking around and taking out this mega camera every 100 meters? Nehhh, I don't.

I also recently got my helmet camera back. This is an golden oldy but it should make some nice shots this upcoming winter. Im looking forward on using it again. Some light snow dusted up the mountaintops here yesterday. It looks awesome!

### Realisticly: I should spend more time on editting. And I should take more time in taking the perfect shot. That is what I should do. Not spend my money on a better camera!
