One of the things that I really appreciated and made me feel proud of being on hive, was the fact that I needed to think, to be mindful and to create authentic, true, original content. 

From the day I joined hive, to this day, I try to create valuable content. 
This alone is something that helps me grow, improve my knowledge and I find it amazing that I have the opportunity to share it all with you.

However, I understand that this can be challenging to some new users and I know some of them who joined and left short afterwards. 

With the implementation of short posts in the platform, starting with dBuzz and then with inleo.ioo threads, ecency waves, peakd snaps etc - it has become even easier for someone to join and earn - even with just posting short posts.

I am happy to see many new lions and new users joining.
But I cant help wondering about some things that I witness on X.

X offers monetization to the users, with some prerequisites that are the number of verified followers and to have 5 M views. 

Right after x announced that it will share ad revenue with some of it users, we saw an enormous increase in scam tweets. 

We still do. 

I see so many similar tweets that I feel sorry and sometimes I dont even want to use X...

and much much more.

All this makes me wonder.
Do users prefer to earn some $ just for writing similar messages, and similar replies all day long?

A friend of mine told me a few days ago
> Do you know that XX is earning $100 per month on x?

And I said, *so am I on inleo - hive. Why dont you join me? I ve told you a thousand times*

> .. Quiet...

Dont get me wrong.
I respect everyone, and of course everyone is entitled to their choices. 
Who am I to judge ?

I may even give x monetization a shot, so that I can have the full picture.

But I am not sure I want to follow the easy way of GM, GN and those without-imagination, copy paste messages and replies.

Because whatever happens, all these online instances of myself - are still me. 
And the real question is, what footprint do I wish to leave online?
