 Today I am going to show you around the National Museum of Scotland, located in Edinburgh on Chambers Street. You can see many interesting exhibits here, such as the Tyrannosaurus skeleton or the jaw of an adult male sperm whale. Seeing how huge it is live, you can visualize how great an animal a whale is. *Dzisiaj oprowadzę was po Muzeum Narodowym Szkocji, które znajduje się w Edynburgu przy ulicy Chambers. Można tu zobaczyć wiele ciekawych eksponatów, np. szkielet tyranozaura, czy szczękę dorosłego kaszalota. Widząc na żywo, jaka jest ogromna można sobie uzmysłowić jak wielkim zwierzęciem jest wieloryb.*  And this is the inscription on the board next to the exhibit: >"Moby", a sperm whale over 15 metres long and weighing nearly 40 tonnes, was beached on a mudbank in the Firth of Forth on Easter Monday, 1997. He was the first sperm whale to be stranded in the Firth since 1769. The bone at the back of the skull signs of disease, but is likely that the whale died from septicaemia, the result of a long-standing injury. This may also explain why he was so far away from his usual range in Atlantic Ocean. It took several weeks for Museum staff to clean the bones and the skeleton is now part of the marine mammal research collection of National Museums Scotland. The museum is very diverse in terms of exhibits. With a tyrannosaurus skeleton and animal exhibits. *Najciekawsza była ta sala. Ze szkieletem tyranozaura oraz eksponatami zwierzęcymi.*    And here are interesting animal shadows, in their natural size. *A tu ciekawe cienie zwierząt, w ich naturalnym rozmiarze.*   Finally, a corner of curiosities. Transferring knowledge about animals on the example of various objects that we use every day. What does the straw have to do with giant anteaters? Well > they have a straw-like jaw and a long, sticky tongue for eating ants and termites. They don't have teeth! *Na koniec kącik ciekawostek. Przekazywanie wiedzy na temat zwierząt na przykładzie różnych przedmiotów, których używamy na co dzień. Co ma wspólnego słomka z gigantycznymi mrówkojadami? Otóż* >mają one szczękę jak słomka i długi, lepki język do jedzenie mrówek i termitów. Nie posiadają zębów!*   It turns out that a tiger's teeth are as sharp as a steak knife. *Okazuje się, że zęby tygrysa są tak ostre jak nóż do steków.*  As you can see in the photo: >Walruses, on the other hand, have teeth and jaws similar to a nutcracker and can therefore open the shells of clams.
