Al cual les invito a participar y compartirnos sus innovadoras ideas para hacer de nuestras cocinas un lugar más lindo y acogedor con nuestro toque personal.

<div class="text-justify"> Quisiera aclarar que esta publicación no es una entrada al concurso, es simplemente mi aporte a las actividades de la  comunidad. 

La cocina es el lugar más concurrido de la mayoría de las casas y la mía no es una excepción, es por eso que he estado dedicand tiempo a tejer algunas cosas para darle un toque más personal. 
La mayoría de estos proyectos han sido tapetes, en diferentes formas, tamaños y colores. 
Los tapetes son muy utiles en la cocina porque nos ayudan a mantener limpias las superficies y protegerlas del calor y la grasa, es por ello que soy muy fan de hacer tapetes.   </div>

<p> I would like to clarify that this publication is not an entry to the contest, it is simply my contribution to the activities of the community.

The kitchen is the busiest place in most houses and mine is no exception, that's why I've been spending time knitting some things to give it a more personal touch.

Most of these projects have been rugs, in different shapes, sizes, and colors.
Mats are very useful in the kitchen because they help us keep surfaces clean and protect them from heat and grease, which is why I am a big fan of making rugs.   </p>

<div class="text-justify"> Mi material favorito para tejer este tipo de tapetes para la cocina es el pábilo, como ya lo he dicho en otras oportunidades. En esta ocasión también usé un cordón de algodón grueso para elaborar un tapete redondo que me sirva para colocar las ollas calientes en la mesa. 


Gracias al cordón de algodón que coloqué por dentro del tejido, el tapete quedó mucho más firme y resistente al calor.

<p> My favorite material to weave this type of rugs for the kitchen is wick, as I have already said on other occasions. This time I also used a thick cotton cord to make a round mat that I can use to place the hot pots on the table.
Thanks to the cotton cord that I placed inside the fabric, the mat was much firmer and more resistant to heat.   </p>

<div class="text-justify"> Este tapete fue tejido en espiral, solo con puntos bajos; usando la técnica del tapestry crochet, en la cual se lleva un hilo por dentro del tejido. En este caso, en lugar de llevar uno de los hilos por dentro del tejido, coloqué el cordón de algodón y fui alternando los colores blanco y amarillo en cada vuelta. El resultado final me gustó mucho, ya que  quería un tapete grueso y resistente.    </div>

<p> This rug was knitted in a spiral, only with single crochets; using the tapestry crochet technique, in which a thread is carried inside the fabric. In this case, instead of carrying one of the threads inside the fabric, I placed the cotton cord and alternated the white and yellow colors with each turn. I really liked the final result, since I wanted a thick and resistant mat.  </p>

<div class="text-justify"> Otro proyecto super sencillo que pude elaborar fue una bolsita tejida para colgar y guardar las cajitas de fosforos.
La bolsita la elaboré usando como base un triángulo granny. Solo uní dos de las tres esquinas para formar una especie de bolsillo y la esquina restante la utilicé como colgadero. Esta bolsita es muy fácil de elaborar y se puede usar para muchas cosas.  </div>

<p> Another super simple project that I was able to make was a woven bag to hang and store the matchboxes.
I made the bag using a granny triangle as a base. I only joined two of the three corners to form a kind of pocket and the remaining corner I used as a hanger. This bag is very easy to make and can be used for many things.  </p>

<div class="text-justify"> Por último les comparto 2 pequeños tapetes que elaboré para colocarlos en la mesa. Uno de ellos con forma rectangular, ideal para colocar el salero y el pimentero. 
El otro con forma circular para colocar el envase con la mantequilla. Son proyectos muy pequeños pero también muy útiles y prácticos.   </div>

<p>Finally, I share with you 2 small rugs that I made to place on the table. One of them with a rectangular shape, ideal for placing the salt and pepper shakers.
The other with a circular shape to place the container with the butter. They are very small projects but also very useful and practical.   </p>
