I've been on Steemit for about a week now and have completely forgotten to do an introduction on myself. Well ladies and gentlemen here it is.

Hello my name is Kawehilani I was born and raised on the Island of Oahu. I was raised by my mother who (God bless her heart) tried her best to raise me as a single mother. My father was in the military when he was stationed in Oahu and met my mother and shortly after had me. My father was sent back to California just months after I was born and I did not have contact with him until my 18th birthday. I had a fairly good childhood growing up. I was always an independent child and from a very young age knew the difference between right and wrong. I was never influenced to do anything under peer pressure meaning that I have not touched any type of drugs till this day (i'm 28) :). Praise YAH. I did have a falling out with my mother when I graduated high school and decided to move with my friend and his parents. While there I when to a trade school and got certified in Facility maintenance. During that time my father had gotten in contact with me and I decided to visit this mystery man a few months later. Fast forward to now I live with my cousin in her garage (my father lives down the street from us) and I have a whole new view on life. I was born and raised a Catholic but was never serious about my faith until 2 years ago. I was watching The Bible on TV during Easter and It was at the scene where Jesus was telling the parable of the Pharisee and the Tax collector :
Two men went up to the temple to pray, one a Pharisee and the other a tax collector. 11 The Pharisee stood by himself and prayed: ‘God, I thank you that I am not like other people—robbers, evildoers, adulterers—or even like this tax collector. 12 I fast twice a week and give a tenth of all I get.’
13 “But the tax collector stood at a distance. He would not even look up to heaven, but beat his breast and said, ‘God, have mercy on me, a sinner.’
14 “I tell you that this man, rather than the other, went home justified before God. For all those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.”
This one scene shook my life in such a way that can only be counted as a blessing from YAH. I soon started going to bible study at a Catholic church up the street from me, and though I learned somethings from them I could not understand why they would say that the Torah was done away with? It just made no sense. So I looked into joining a Christian church but it was the same with them. Then I sought to join a messianic synagogue but they were adding there own things to the Torah and It just didn't seem right. So one day at work I was thinking things over and I asked YAH "Now that I want to follow in you father what should I do with my life and the money I make? I have no desire to obtain materialistic things and my life seems likes its at a standstill. What should I do?" and a voice popped into my head and told me to start a homestead. Amazed I ask when should I start, and where shall I go? The voice said Hilo and 7 years! WOW I was filled with joy! That's when I first started doing research about homesteading ( this was 2 years ago). While looking for videos on YouTube I stumbled on this man named Zach and his channel An American Homestead. Now while watching one of his videos he mentioned his other channel New2Torah. I started watching his video's about the Torah and turning back to YAH and knew this is what the father wanted me to see! I'm now into the Hebrew Roots and looking to build my homestead with the love and guidance of YAH.
Thanks to all who stuck around and read to the end! I know this was a long introduction well more like a bio of myself but I really wanted to share the blessings I have been given. Praise be to YAHWEH!
