Here are random ways to save money! That way you don't have to worry about having less! You can take the extra money you've saved from all my articles and go on a trip. Or invest the money! It's completely up to you.


- Wait at least three days before making any impulse purchase. The majority of the things that we buy are junk or things that we do not truly need. Giving yourself 3 days or even a couple weeks will give you time to decide if the item is really necessary for your life.


I'm currently in my waiting period for the Slate drawing tablet. I don't really NEED it. But I want it. I'm glad I didn't buy it right away, Because It's probably not necessary for me to have.

- Use reviews to compare products; do not buy anything that will cost more than $10.00 without looking at reviews. They can be extremely valuable. I always check Amazon reviews before buying anything online. If they do not have reviews, check the return policy. Can you return it for a full refund? Will the seller pay the return shipping? What country will you need to ship it to?
If you do have to pay return shipping, International shipping may be more expensive than the item is worth and sometimes you may want to consider buying from a seller in your country, even if it is a little more costly to avoid the return potentially costing a lot.


- Sell any unwanted stuff instead of throwing it away! Try sites like Listia, eBay, Amazon, Mercari, Offer up and Facebook classified pages. You can usually get a pretty good amount of money back. Plus your items can be reused and not end up in the landfill.

- Have a careful budget and make spending sheets at the end of the month. Figure out what you can improve on and do better the next month.


- Pay off your credit card in full every month to avoid interest charges and not have it get out of control. I love credit cards; they are convenient, and you can get rewards. You are also protected by unauthorized purchases. 
But if you aren’t able to be responsible for it, consider getting rid of it entirely. Note: closing your account can damage your credit score. I suggest shredding the card itself but leave the account open.


- Practice preventative dental and health care at home. Brush and floss, exercise, eat right and take care of yourself emotionally. This will save you a ton of bills later on.
