Many people are forgetful. It's normal, But many of us also want to change the way we can remember things and recall information.

# How to Acquire #
A lot of people take notes to help them remember the information, But that isn't always the best way. 
When you mindlessly copy notes, you aren't always retaining the information. 
You need to study and focus on it, to remember it, Look at the diagrams. Think about how the information applies to your life. Draw connections. That will enable you to remember. 

# Two types of understanding #
There are two kinds of understanding,  Surface, and a deeper level.
WE should always strive to have a deeper level of understanding if possible. If that's the case we need more connections. Usually, surface understanding refers to the terms, and sentence structure.

While a deeper understanding is about the principals behind the concepts. IT's important for you to learn it right away, Don't leave it for another day. Otherwise, you'll forget and won't go back to it.

## Look For Patterns ##
Like I said you need connections. Sometimes learning a large amount of text or pictures can be hard, But when we find patterns, we can minimize the amount we have to remember making it easier. 
Make songs, or quotes to help you remember. 

# Explore The Ideas # 
IF you have time, Try to do the thing you are trying to remember first hand. If you are trying to remember some history, This may not be possible. But you can always watch a history movie or read additional content about the event.

# Try Mindmapping #
I love mind mapping; It's so fun. Start from the middle of the paper with one idea, And map it. Gradually draw outward subjects amoung other things related to that idea. To make a web of ideas. This allows you to expand your knowledge and test ideas.

# Start from the foundation #
Some people start in bizarre places, That's not a good idea. What you need to do is start from the foundation and work your way up. This allows you to get a fuller understanding then if you were to only start in the middle somewhere.


# About Memories. #
Memories often work from a set of links. Think of it as a cord. When it's hooked to other things it works better, it allows you to do more. If you know only small amounts of information, it's easier to forget, then if you were to learn and learn about the one subject. So don't be afraid to research and get a more in-depth knowledge on what you want to learn.
