Many people don't understand why they want certain things in life. It's hard to fulfill all of your goals and be happy when you have no idea what you want deep down. 



Understanding yourself can be a terribly difficult thing to do, So many people live out their whole life without an understanding of who they truly are, Because they are so influenced by the things around them. 

When you understand yourself on every level, You can use it to your advantage. When you know you'll react a certain way because someone says something rude, you can try your best to avoid those ugly situations. If you know you'll binge snack by having chips in the house, you can avoid buying chips. 

You can also teach others to treat you better, if you know you love things done a very specific way, you can educate others on how you like those things to be done.

# Learn to be self-aware #
So many of us, Spend all day long on auto-pilot. We think nothing about what we are doing; We just do it without a second thought. 
Slow down, and focus. 
What are your thoughts about what you are doing? Do you do the activity different from others? Why?
Many people call this practicing mindfulness. Being mindful allows you to learn about yourself.

Many people struggle with this; They become the person they don't want to be. Life moves too fast Before they know it. They are working a job they hate, Married to someone who is nothing that they want, And their whole life is a mess. Because they never tried to learn who they are.
Each day we are influenced by thousands of messages, through the internet, through advertisements, and then we are influenced by family and friends. 
 To a certain degree, It's important to cut yourselves off of everything and try to understand who we are deep down. Without those influences. To experience things first hand, alone. To form our opinions.
