It is a known fact that there are many working in different areas are working extra time to meet the demands of their jobs. But is it worth it? Sometimes we don't realize that we are missing time. Retirement has never been something I have ever aimed for. Whether it's completing a project before a deadline, clearing a backlog of tasks or simply showing dedication and ambition, how much sense does it make to work extra hours? I think those who can find the right balance to avoid potential burnout and maintain a healthy work-life balance are very lucky people.

So what might be on the bright side, I would like to brainstorm a little bit today and write it down in bullet points.

If we talk about the pros of overworking, the first thing that comes to my mind is less distraction and better focus. When you focus on a task during working hours, yep, it is possible to be distracted by the demands of other people. This is the problem I faced many time. It would be more effective working hours with fewer distractions and interruptions, isn't it? So that leading easier to focus and complete tasks in a shorter amount of time. On the other hand, it is also conceivable that if you are recognized as working hard during working hours. This could lead to career opportunities in the future. 😜  But for some reason I think otherwise. Hardworking people get more work assigned to them by other people. I think it is always more advantageous to hide the fact that you are hardworking. It's up to you. This may differ according to your working environment.


If there are financial goals or obligations to be met, there can often be a perception that we can work harder and earn more money. What about consept of time?? Perhaps if we had spent our productive hours on other work or on projects that were on the sidelines, we would have gained more financially. Or if we had used that time to get a good deal on the stock market, maybe, we wouldn't have to spend 3 days doing tasks we didnt want to do. But this is where the continuity of income is important. Actually...What we really want is continuity and a secure income at the end of the day. If you're a riskktaker, I think you're lucky. Otherwise, as I am experiencing these days, you may have chaos sirens going off in your head all the time.

Setting boundaries requires consistency and self-discipline. Finding personal time to avoid burnout and lead a healthy and fulfilling professional life is important, but it is difficult to do in limited time. At the end of the day, everything remains in its theoretical side. I can't even find time to renew my passport on weekdays. Government offices don't work on weekends either. It's like I'm in a crazy chaos. One thing I know for sure is to change location in times like these. As if one link in the chain is untied and the rest will follow. Hopefully. There is hope, though.
