 I am pretty new to steemit and i faced same issue, so i had to do some research to find out how to update my profile photo and cover photo.. So just incase you are facing a similar issue, this is for you.. . Simply follow these very simple processes.. First on your dashboard, you will see a circle beside the pencil art, click on it..  . It's a drop down MENU that will open a couple of options too, look for settings and click on it..  . When you click on "settings" it will open another area where you will some empty tab that specify that you type the URL of the image you want to use as your profile picture and cover photo..  . Now, pause from the screen here and go to www.tinypic.com to upload the photos you wish to use as profile picture and cover photo respectively..     On that website, click on "browse" and click "upload now" it will upload and take you to a new screen.. . Copy the URL there at "Direct Link for Layout".. . Now head back to your steemit dash board and post the URL for your profile picture and cover photo respectively with their respective URLs.. . Once you are done, click "Update" and you are done.. . You have successfully uploaded your profile picture and cover photo.. . You can upvote and resteem for others to see.. This information might be useful to someone following you.. . Thanks..
