Blog #53: Wonderful Artistic Ambience @ Gabby's Bed & Breakfast, Dumaguete City

Year 2018, I went to Dumaguete City for the important meeting to attend to. It is a 5-hour or less drive from Bacolod City.

Dumaguete City is also known as <b>The City of Gentle People</b>. Well, my original plan that day was I will return back to Bacolod City after the 1:00pm meeting but unfortunately there was delayed so the meeting was started late and obviously we finished late. I remember we finished at around 6pm. 

I was not able to catch up the last trip of the bus going to Bacolod City. And since it was long drive, I decided to sleep in Dumaguete. 

I searched for a nice and affordable hotel or apartment where I can stay overnight and there was one that really captured my attention.

Hey Hivers! 

If there is an unfortunate event/s happened in your life expect that there would also be nice event/s that would probably lies ahead. 

At first, I get disappointed when I was not able to catch up the last trip of the bus going to Bacolod City.

I don't want to spend another money for my accomodation but since things didn't favor according to my plan I booked a reservation in Gabby's Bed & Breakfast and I took the opportunity to see and explore their beautiful city.

Before I headed to <b>Gabby's Bed & Breakfast</b> to check-in I hired a tricycle driver who can convey me to <b>Siliman University</b>. The oldest University in the City. And since its popularity was spread all over the Philippines I asked the driver to take me there because I wanted to see it. (I will be making separate blogs for it.)

After the tricycle driver toured me in the city and outside the Siliman University campus (I was not able to get inside the campus because it was already beyond the regular hours so the tricycle driver brought me to the place where I can see the campus),  he conveyed me to Gabby's Bed & Breakfast. I found out that it was only 5-minute drive from Siliman. 

So this is the restaurant of Gabby's Bed & Breakfast and this is how it looks at day time.

The restaurant has colorful and artistic ambience. The wall was painted with different sea creatures. There were also many seashells hanging inside. It was cool.

After I checked-in, one of their crew assisted me going to my room. Before I reached to my room, I passed this area, "the living space" where guests can relax. If the guests would like to read books they have a mini library where guests can choose according to their book preference. It's cool, right?

I find it cozy. I was not able to took photos to the different areas of it. Some areas were filled with sea shells. It feels like you're in the beach while staying in that place. I actually love it. The room's wall was also painted with sea creatures.

I woke up early on the next day. After I fixed myself, I headed to their restaurant to have my breakfast. The breakfast was free and I choose sticky rice with ripe mango and chocolate drink. I don't know if you have already tried this hivers, but if some of you here haven't tried it yet, I'll tell you this is one of delicious Filipino food. The combination of this food was so perfect. 

If you'll visit Philippines, just try it. Maybe you'll love it too.
