I'm back in the part of Turtle Island that the United States Corporation claims to own, and as always it's a mixed bag. It's nice to have such clean air again, to have kombucha around, and to not be sweating, but as always the process of dealing with the [TSA](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-x8xxcvmvsM) and "Border Patrol" isn't the most fun.

Yesterday I had about 15 hours of travel, and it was strangely unproductive for me. Even though I had two layovers of at least 2 hours, I wasn't able to get much work done because I spent almost all time picking up my bag, re-checking it, going through security (three times in total), and walking across the entire airport to get from my arrival point to my departure point (both Dallas & Mexico City required this).

Luckily, my last flight was delayed by a full hour, which we didn't learn until after boarding. That's right, I said luckily, because that hour was basically my only chance to get out my laptop and get work done, and I was hitting it hard!

# <center>[Be Empowered](http://be-empowered.xyz/) (@be-empowered)</center>

For those of you who aren't familiar yet, *Be Empowered* is a 3-day conferestival that I'm focalizing May 17-19 in Loveland, CO. Our team is working to bring together the best of what we've seen & experienced in the dozens of transformational events we've worked on, and some highlights include:
* Twice daily yoga & Qi Gong, a daily sunset sound-healing, and nightly concerts, to frame our days of presentations & panels
* Every ticket includes 9 organic meals & free camping (on-site lodging also available)
* A single track schedule, so all attendees are having a shared experience, and nobody has to pick between 2 speakers they want to see.
*  A cap of around 400 people at the event, including staff & facilitators. The ratio of speakers/performers to attendees will be about 6:1, making lots of space for personal connection and just "stage time"

The first day of the event will be focused on the individual, changes we can all make within ourselves. The second day will be focused on our interpersonal lives, how we communicate, how we are present in relating with others (be they family, lovers, or neighbors). The third day will be focused on the broader spectrum, how we interact with the world at large, the systems that we operate under, and what our vision for the world of the future is.

I was hoping to have the new version of our website up today, as well as getting tickets on sale, but even with an epic team like [Autonomite](https://autonomite.net/), a week isn't much warning for a big shift like that, and currently our means of accepting governmental currencies is still being approved.

For now, I can tell you that I've confirmed about half our speaker lineup, including steemians: @emancipatedhuman, @erikaharris, @sterlinluxan, @catherinebleish, @dbroze, @johnvibes, and @scottermonkey.

This event is being produced completely grassroots, and as such we are looking for financial support from aligned companies/organization would like to sponsor the event (which includes various types of marketing & other benefits), as well as individuals or organizations that would like to make tax-deductible donations. Yes, we have fiscal sponsorship from a wonderful 501(c)3, [Guerilla Healer](https://guerillahealer.org/).

We are also looking for someone to help with producing some video marketing materials, preferably as a gift or in trade for attending the event (though a monetary exchange isn't out of the question)
