Are You Writing To Impress Or Writing To Communicate?
I mentioned some few tips on my previous blog post on to improve your value as an individual and the implications of personal worth/value in your quest for achieving success here on steemit and beyond here. I made it clear that theirs is a great need to polish your communication skill, because that’s one of the most fundamental requirement in having a successful steemit blog.
>an argument went up one time between I and a friend of mine on whether or not people come to steemit for information.

Most of the folk here are for the money, while a minute fraction of us actually do stay here and roam her in the quest of information. Many roam around only to end up with feelings or jealousy and envy for the earnings of others. We barely take time off to stop and makes some blog posts so deserving. Today I will be pointing out some that will tend to cause your work to be easily noticed and considered valuable. I have a little experience with curation and I understand the position of curators because during the time I set to curate some articles are indeed not worth any rewards. Having a promising title isn’t enough, you have to really make sure you go as deep as you can in your quest for communicating that information. Some make blog posts as though the readers live in their minds and never get to even pause and make things clear. Some others make it so short that you’d want to ask them if it’s a joke or something. The question is then;
>what kind of writer are you?

Are you the prolific type or the one that just combines several line of though in such a random manner? Some write to impress others using big grammars and all. The essence of writing is to communicate and when people can’t seem to understand you they get bored and most probably won’t your blog ever again.
>give your readers any and every reasons to come back.

One of my recent blog posts suggests that your readers are your customers and you should strive to make sure that they feel at home and not make up things that make comprehension difficult for them.

# Are you writing for everybody
I think the basic question you need to ask yourself is who your target audience is. I am sure that steemians mostly write for everyone in the various categories they choose. Then as you do that, ensure that whatever article you’re making up is easily comprehended by everyone. Don’t use a lot of technical or special words that only a few group of people would understand. Don’t beat around the bush; be straight to the point. Try as much as possible to ensure that you stick to layman’s language. That would increase your chances of reaching a wider audience; engaging more people; and getting more interested readers and ultimately some follows. Make it simple. Know that the goal is to communicate and stick to the rules.

Put yourself in the shoes of your readers. Would you appreciate this work if it wasn’t yours? That’s another important question to ask my friend. If you have said it before then don’t say it again. Keep it short while you keep it simple … and that’s it guys for now, check back later for more tips. You can freely indicate in the comment section there’s any tip you’d recommend to the readers.
