I have noticed numerous people/teams who have been successful in business,sport etc and then just stopped and they stayed at the same level or even go backwards. I used to think why haven't they grown?

I have come to realise that some people sabotage their own success by simply putting "A LID ON IT....." Most people would not agree and those who this applies to would definitely not agree. Ask yourself have you "Put a lid on it" the truth may surprise you!!

If you can't see a problem you cannot fix it so be truthful to yourself. If you have "put a lid on it" how on earth do you expect to become more successful? 

Apart from super human achievement the difference between people of similar abilities achieving different outcomes of success is often "Mindset". A sportsmen/team who finishes number 3 say in the premier league who previously finished no higher than say 10 should not accept they have made it by getting to number 3 instead by creating the right mindset they could reach number 1.

Leicester City a small premier league club did the impossible in season 2015/2016 by becoming number 1 a lot of that achievement must go to the coach who through his mindset got his team to number 1. What happened the year after Leicester narrowly avoided relegation and their coach sacked.I blame the players who in their mindset believed they "had made it". Their mindset should have been against the odds we are going to be number 1 again.  They believed they had made it and guess what that mindset cost them and their coach dearly.

So if you feel reasonably successful but want to achieve the ultimate success in your field then you must learn to stop sabotaging your success by "Putting a lid on it" instead create a better mindset and become the ultra number 1 successful person you was meant to be.
