The statement is true. According to Bitcoin's protocol, the total supply is capped at 21 million, and the block reward halves approximately every 4 years. As a result, the remaining 10% of Bitcoin's supply will indeed take a long time to mine, estimated to be around 120 years. This is due to the decreasing block reward and the increasing difficulty of mining.
