# <center>ALGORAVE</center><br>
Algoraves is events where the artist generate their music from algorithms, rather than sequencing music like electronic musicians normally do. This is made possible by livecoding much of their material through different program such as SuperCollider. 

Electronic musicians such as Aphex Twin and Autechre has been using algorithmic approaches in their music for a long time, but in a more traditional sense.

Alex McLean of Slub and Nick Collins coined the word "algorave" (Algorithmic Rave), with the first event to be held under that name taking place in 2012. It has since become a movement, with algoraves taking place around the world.
