The fourth episode was pretty good in some ways but I felt that it meandered in places a bit too much and a few things plot-wise didn't really make sense to me.

So the episode starts with Boba Fett in the Bacta tank, we are teleported back to sometime after the Tuskens were all killed and he is alone now travelling along with his trusty Bantha, we see him as he scopes out Jabbas Palace now occupied by Bib Fortuna. Heavily guarded. We also see the Gamorreans with armour on, which I think makes them look a lot better than the two he has working for him. 

So he's in the desert hanging out at a makeshift campsite and all of a sudden he hears some explosions off in the distance, as he looks to the horizon we hear the Mandalorian theme playing, which I think is really cool. I actually went and listened to that song on YouTube after, it's a really good piece of music I think. Which is a small detour I want to take before continuing on with what happens in this episode.

**The score**
I don't think the Boba Fett score is as good as the Mandalorian score or many of the other scores we have heard throughout the Star Wars franchise, I think it's pretty weak and as I thought about that and scrutinised the episode's soundtrack I've realised that this series doesn't really utilize any kind of score in the episodes. The whole point of Star Wars as George Lucas has said is that it's a space Opera, I know not everything with a Star Wars logo on it has to follow that rule, but, I think as a fan of the franchise we're there for the world, characters, the epic sound design which teleports you to these worlds and most importantly the score. Neglecting it, I think is a bad call, as there are many sequences through the show where a really good score could have been used to bolster the visuals.

So, the Mandalorian theme plays teasing us. Then Boba Fett goes to find Fennec Shand unconscious in the desert where she was left during the episode of the Mandalorian. Boba then takes her to get patched up with some cybernetics. 

All of this Cyberpunk stuff I don't think fits with the show, it seems too clean for Tatooine. I think if it was grimy and ramshackled it would fit better, I know Vader was more machine than man, Luke had a robotic hand replacement. But, on a poor world like Tatooine, I don't know if it really gets across the narrative that this is a desperate planet. Vader I assumed got all his mods because the empire was mega-rich and Luke got his hand because the Rebellion needed him to fight the empire. Seeing people get all these enhancements just because seems weird to me.

Anyway, the Ripper doc tells Boba Fett he's too old to be here, treating it like Cyberpunking yourself up is only for the hip cool kids, but, luckily Boba has a bag of credits so then it's okay. Fennec gets a new stomach and between them, they then go to get Boba Fett's ship back from Jabbas Palace.

Luckily Fennec has a probe droid thing that maps out the whole Palace to find the ship and a good route to get it. They enter and after some shenanigans in the kitchen they make it to the hanger and they kick some ass. Finally, we get to see them both fighting together which is cool, Fennec nearly takes out everyone singlehandedly which is good to see. Now with the ship, they head out and Fennec agrees to help Boba with settling some other scores.

First the bikers are riding along and Boba comes in and just wipes them out, it made for a pretty cool and quick scene of him doing a bombing run over them. Then the Sarlac Pit is the next score to settle. I literally thought Boba was just going to bomb it for eating him, but, he says that he wants his armour back. I don't know why he doesn't remember wearing it when he first escaped. He seemed to walk a good distance from the Sarlac before having it stolen. The way the ship is flying too is really strange, its engines are aiming in a way that should be hard to maneuver, but anyway I guess it can hover. Then the Sarlac attacks them, took me by surprise, to be honest, I wasn't sure whether it was dead or not. They have a fight with it until Fennec drops one of those seismic charges into its mouth. Great spectacle, don't get me wrong. Love the sound of that thing, but, I couldn't help thinking it was very risky. 

1. How did Fennec know out of all those buttons, that, that one she pushed was the one for the bomb? 
2. How did the ship not get damaged?
3. The angle the ship was at, there was a strong chance that the bomb could have not fallen into the pit. 
4. I know it would have been less entertaining, but, why didn't Fennec use her probe droid thing? Boba could have asked and she could have said no it needs to charge up. Or it could have been destroyed in the Palace. Showing us something and then not using it or referring to it when it could be used again is risky territory as far as storytelling goes. But, anyway. 

So the Sarlac is dead now and Boba hops into the pit to find his armour which isn't there. Kind of a waste of time, I think he could have just dropped a seismic charge on the thing as revenge for eating him and boom, we're done there. Maybe that would have made Boba seem petty or something without a real reason to kill the thing, but, I think him not remembering that the armour saved him was strange. Fennec even says that after he gets out of the pit. So, I don't see why they couldn't have come to that conclusion while hovering above the pit.

Then we're out of the flashback with a quick transition through them taking over the Palace. Then a droid says he's healed so that's the whole backstory done. Now we'll be focusing on just the present.

So, Boba goes to a casino where Karrsanton is hanging out drinking and he gets angry at some Trandoshans, Bosks people if you're unaware of what they're called. Now, Karrsanton is angry watching them win and I was confused. I thought first, that he hates Trandoshans. (Lore) Because they hunted Wookie's and sold any captures to fighting pits and stuff. Since it was established that Karrsanton is a gladiator. That's what I thought, but, I think it might have been that Wookie's are sore losers or something. I think the reasoning was the first thing I thought. But, let's assume all we know about Wookie's is what we know about Chewbacca, he was a sore loser with the chess game. I think it would have been the exact same scene if Karrsanton was with them at the table, losing to them and then he goes mad and rips the guys arm off. Just a thought.

Anyway, Boba hires Karrsanton to be a bodyguard to meet with the other leaders of Mos Espa. Now, this is stupid. He asks for help with the pykes they all threaten to kill him, even though he's given up taking tribute from them. They decide not to help him anyway and he says fine I'll do it alone. I thought the next thing he'd say is and when I do I'll be coming for everyone who didn't help me. But, he doesn't. What he says is please don't join the Pykes against me. Silly, now maybe in his mind he'll be dealing with everyone who doesn't help him later, as telling them would mean that they're more inclined to betray him. But, I don't know.

Then the episode ends with Fennec and Boba talking about hiring muscle and Boba says he's got lots of money and she says well then we can hire some people and the Mandalorian theme plays. Cool, I think, getting the Mandalorians onboard will tip the balance in his favour. So, we'll have to see how that goes for them.

**Conclusion**
The episode was good and I'm glad we're building to this war. I think Boba is making some bad choices as far as dealing with the other leaders of Mos Espa. But, he's amassing a good amount of people to fight with him. With the addition of Karrsanton now in his ranks, I think he'll do well and once he deals with the pykes he'll be able to grow as a character and leader a lot more. I think he's being a bit too easygoing when it comes to ruling over his domain. I'm curious to see how the next episodes go, now that we won't be focusing so much on his past.
