**Listing Items**

Last time I was doing this I was listing about 3 - 5 items a day, and that was fine. I had it down to a fine art, and each item was taking me somewhere between 2-4 minutes to list.

It was good, and the short time needed to do it meant I didn't have to dedicate much of my day to the process.

Back then, my idea was to list and keep the algorithm on my side regularly, but recently, my strategy has changed slightly. 

Now, I don't care too much about the algorithm and instead, just want to get as much up as fast as I can.

Having everything up there is the best thing for it. Sometimes things sell within weeks, and sometimes it can sell within months. Having everything sitting on a shelf or in a box isn't helping with the selling, so that's where I'm at now.

**Adverts**

eBay is good, but the 5-15% fee is a bit of a pain in the ass if I'm being honest.

Before, I wanted to become an eBay Bestseller, by selling more than 100 items in a year, but I realised recently that there is a catch.

Essentially I need to sell 100 items in Europe, the UK, or Ireland. The regions are all separate and even though I've nearly hit 100 items sold, it only counts as 20-30 per region, which sucks.

The thought of becoming a "Bestseller" was worth the hit from fees. Not that it means anything more for my store, other than an accolade.

So, now, I'm listing my stuff on an Irish Buy and Sell site called Adverts. 

Adverts charge no fees, I get the money directly to my preferred payment method, it's instant, and I can basically charge standard postage (€3, instead of close to €10 for registered)

If the money goes directly into my Revolute, I can send standard, but if it comes through PayPal G&S, it'll be registered for proof of delivery.

With PayPal Friends and Family, you can't claim your money back, likewise with Revolute, and since people can't rip me off, I have nothing to lose by sending things as standard postage.

The buyer gets a good deal, and I'll be happier getting the full value. Win-win. 

I'll keep my stuff on eBay though, and whichever sells first gets the item. Two platforms means that things should move a bit faster too.

I was toying with setting up an FB Marketplace profile for it too, but I might hold off on that for now.

All is good anyway. After what feels like a brief hibernation, I think I'm ready to get back into everything properly.
