*Every year comes with its ups and downs, for me last year wasn't any different. There was a major experience that made me feel like the most happiest person in the world, and then another experience that brought me to my knees wishing I never made that mistake.*

**MY BEST EXPERIENCE**
I feel talking about my best experience first will make the bad experience less painful, 😄 Just kidding though, it however brings me a sense of light as I travel down the bright and dark side of my memory lane.
I had a lot to be grateful for last year, but a very memorable one was getting a scholarship to study my career dream course online while doing another I was trying to manage.
Before then I knew I needed to up my game if I'm to stay in the social media monetization and management industry because everything I knew about the course was from what I saw others do. Having been in this line of work for more than 6 years as of the early part of January, I decided I would up my game by applying for a scholarship course on Coursera which should have cost me around $5,000.

I could remember the joy that filled my heart when I received the email that I had been admitted into the program and my scholarship request was granted. It was as though I had achieved my life's purpose, I felt like finally here is my chance to become a pro, and yes I'm currently learning to become a pro in social media monetization and management 😄😄.
I started the course almost immediately, with all the enthusiasm of getting the scholarship until all enthusiasm was sucked away when the course started becoming boring at a point.
**MY WORSE EXPERIENCE**
I began to play with it, started missing and skipping some lectures, and at a point forgot what made me study the course in the first place.
But just at the point of taking everything more seriously again, after getting to an interesting aspect of the course which I had been anticipating for *"contents Creation"*, my scholarship was withdrawn because I had already faulted in attending and skipping a good number of classes with the excuse of them being boring.

I did everything I thought I could, wrote so many emails to the school, trying to plead for a second chance and prove that I will take it more seriously, but all attempts failed.
At that point in my life, I was already devastated when I learned I needed to settle my fees for the physical course I was learning being given a week's notice to that effect, and my landlord also started pressurizing me about his house rent.
At that stage, it wasn't long before I went into depression, when I looked at what was coming in from my little hustle wouldn't be enough to foot all my bills and my family also needed me financially.
**CONCLUSION**
These experiences made me a stronger and better person because I came out of my depressed state and overcame every of the huddle that was thrown at me except the scholarship I lost due to my stupidity thought me a life lesson to never abuse privileges because you wouldn't know the value of that privilege until you lose it.
This is my entry for the neoxian city prompt, I hope you enjoyed reading it.
