I had been following @ocd for some time since last year as I was nominated by one of the curators in the @ocd curator team. It is great to be part of the whitelist members under this initiative whereby I could explore and meet up different awesome authors from different parts of the world, writing about their field of interest. @ocd was initiated by @acidyo and now it provides manual curation whereby the curation team explore for quality contents to be curated. On the other hand, @ocdb (Operation Curation Bot) is another arm under @ocd which it offers boosting support for the whitelisted members to utilize their Steem or SBD for their post. This service is non-profit and the value goes back to both the author and also the delegators. That is how amazing it is for this to exist on the platform.

This is one new feature launched to curate contents that were from outside the Steem blockchain. This is to bring in more original and quality content in the curation reward chain so that different quality contents can come under one roof and become a library in the future. To me, it is a visionary move to create collective of contents through this method, fully utilizing the curation feature of Steem blockchain. As of now, the focus is on the Reddit platform whereby you can create original content and share the content to https://www.reddit.com/original to be curated by @ocd team. Once you are being curated, you are automatically part of the whitelist @ocdb member to be able to bid for 10% profitable votes daily (which I am part of it and enjoyed the perks so far).

@ocd itself had existed for a long time and I had known it for one of the best curation programs existed since I joined Steemit on August 2017. 

Though I have no idea with the full history behind and it is fun to understand through the post that @acidyo shared about the backstage of @ocd. Three months ago, they had a break to curate and now they are back on track again. In the last phase which lasted around 1.5 years, @ocd had posted 178 issues with 5 to 10 curated international posts and 284 issues of curated English posts. In average, @ocd had accumulated more than 3,000 unique authors' contents to be part of the big family. I really respect how hard the team tried to explore for good authors and contents consistently and had achieved such a milestone in such a short amount of time. This is the main page of @ocdb curation bot whereby you can look through all the whitelisted authors. All the whitelisted authors had been proven to produce quality contents and get manually selected by the curation team to be on the white list. However, if any of the whitelisted author had bad conduct on the platform, they will risk to being blacklisted instead.

 The above is the queue log that you can trace who is using the curation bot service, how much is the stake offered and how long will it comes to the bot upvote. Through this, we can curate the contents before the bot commences its upvote and earn an extra curation reward. No doubt, it is another good way to look for great content through this list and get to know new authors that are constantly in production.

Through @ocdb, you can actually delegate and earn payouts from it. The payout is transparent and can be traced through this link: https://thegoodwhales.io/delegators.html. As the platform is non-profit, thus the payout is based on the curation reward earned by the platform and does not focus on ROI. Nevertheless, it is great to support such an awesome initiative and help the community to move forward. 

In a nutshell, it is a great pleasure to be on board with @ocd and I would love to contribute more in the near future to the growth of such great initiative.
