Dandelions in Spring

Hello PhotoFeed community! My name is Dami, and this is my first post in the community. You can get to know more about me by checking out my introductory post. I look forward to contributing as much as I can to the Hive Photography community!

I was taking an early morning walk, when I came upon some wildflowers, the most sagely one being the dandelion. Motivated by @sulev delicate macro flower photos, I went back in to pick up my camera. What really captures the eye is the contrast between the white heads of the dandelions and the dark green foliage. 

Some background on the dandelion (scientific name: Taraxacum). 
Did you know that every part of the dandelion plant is edible? Yes, you read right. Even the roots! 😂
It's a rich source of vitamins and minerals, among other health benefits.

Gear: Sony a7iii with the Sigma 24-70mm Art lens. All photos were taken with natural light (around 6 in the morning) and processed using Adobe Lightroom. 
The sigma 24-70mm has an amazing close focusing distance, which was important in getting such 'macro-esque' shots. I've really fallen in love with the lens due to its versatility and great IQ (in my opinion). I plan to review the lens in the near future, so keep an eye out!
