NEWS: Working on Getting the @swap.app Back Online + A Change in Management for the @swap-app Service.

After what feels like a long while ago (~2 Months) after a fire in France destroyed the datacenter in which the original @swap.app hosted it's service upon, the original creator @cardboard had mentioned that he was looking to retire the @swap.app due to having lost some of it's software and data to fires. Perhaps one of those "right place at the right time" things but knowing that services like @swap.app are absolutely imperative for the quality of life and success of the HIVE network, took this as an opportunity to ask if I could effectively take over the service running's to keep it alive.

As I believe that the @swap.app functionality is absolutely vital to the community in terms of a means of onboarding not only users but capital into our ecosystem I offered to take over the hosting and running operations of the @swap.app service if @cardboard was interested on passing the torch off to me to run day-to-day operations for @swap.app. 

After some time of thought he got back to me and expressed that he'd entertain the idea to step down and allow me to run it, over having shut down forever and then took me by surprise by offering to stay on the dev team to help with code and stuff. With his help to get things going again the hope is to have the @swap.app service and it's website back online and operational within a week or so.

So from here on forth officially and as of yesterday when the permissions keys for the @Swap.App account were relinquished to myself and I'm now the developer / operator of the @swap.app service. While a ton of things still need moved around, tested, and relaunched... I have yet to change the keys over to completely secure the account and get the application up and running again, the goal is to while simultaneously working on @Hive.Loans get the @swap.app source code audited and prepped to come back online within the next week or so. @cardboard will be giving me a hand to set things up and to start working on a huge future update planned for the @swap.app Service.

<center><h1>Incoming Changes to @swap.app Service & Operations</h1></center>With a new owner and management often come with it changes, and the recent acquisition of the @swap.app service into the [KLYE.net](https://klye.net) empire bare no exception from this. While initially the @swap.app service was primarily used to facilitate the automated swap of STEEM <-> HIVE and other various crypto and my knee jerk reaction was to remove any and all support for the Steem network, but rather than outright remove STEEM trading it will be allowed to trade STEEM -> Other Crypto but not from Other Crypto -> STEEM. 

This still facilitates those wishing to defect from STEEM to easily dump their STEEM for HIVE, but will prevent the opposite, @swap.app from here on out will not support any activity that serve to increase the market cap of the STEEM network. Other crypto will still be supported wit the exception of anything to do with TR0N, anything Sun Yuchen / Justin Sun related will not be supported.

<center><h1>Liquidity Pool Investing on the Horizon for Future Update</h1></center> While currently the soon to relaunch @swap.app site features what is effectively a  "closed" bankroll or float in order to facilitate users trades in the future the service will allow you to invest your HIVE (and possibly other) crypto into the sites liquidity pool in order to receive the lions' share of the profits it generates by facilitating trades within @swap.app for users cross currency. While this update is still a bit down the road and will likely be implemented by @cardboard with a bit of code and oversight from myself. Quite excited to have him on board still to help me out with stuff.

Not only will this allow you to invest your crypto within the service to help it facilitate larger trades, but will also provide another potentially lucrative investment vehicle for the HIVE ecosystem.

The @swap.app is one of those services I always took for granted until it wasn't there anymore.. But now that I've gotten the go ahead to take over and acquired it everyone rest assured I'll do everything within my power to restore the service to working order and get it operational for the community.

When everything is going again I'll get the @swap.app links re-added to PeakD.com wallet page as it was before and business will continue as it did. Give us till the end of week to get it going. Cheers!
