After an unbelievably rapid smashing of the proposal funding threshold, the [Hive.Loans](https://hive.loans) project has officially entered the exclusive ranks of community supported development endevour. While still the better part of 5 -6 days before the funding takes into effect started focusing all of my development efforts towards getting this production ready and working on or before the April 15th 2021 proposal deadline. The current site up at [Hive.Loans](https://hive.loans) is simply a placeholder that will receive sporadic updates as development moves forward. The demo app at [Hive.Loans](https://hive.loans) has been updated to v0.0.7 and with that comes finished wallet functionality both inbound and outbound as well as a rough contract creation function. At this point in time however the contract acceptance functionality isn't implemented nor are the other functions surrounding the lending contracts. One of the next things that is going to get worked on is the account recovery side of things as well as the account credential daemon. Another important step after that will be figuring out the migration from 1:1 contract claiming to a 1 to many architecture. Somewhere along the lines too when I'm working on the account credential daemon will also have to factor in the automated payment distribution. Tons of stuff to figure out and implement yet!

- Backers leaderboard now only shows pledges > 100 HIVE
- FAQ page lists all current founder and backer ranked users
- Ranks are applied automatically when users create an account the first time by signing in
- Wallet deposits and withdraw functions implemented and appear to be working ok on the keychain side
- Chatroom now persists as it's fully integrated into the DB now, added chat user menu when clicking names
- Contract creation preview now shows the correct amount
- Cleaned a lot of bloat out from the project to try and make it somewhat sane to navigate
- Added rank icons to the chat based on rank earned through proposal voting, HIVE pledging and future ranks
- Implemented an RPC Node rotator until I can get a dedicated private RPC node for site calls going
- Site now saves it's previously scanned block in order to catch up on deposits if offline before hand
- Started broadcasting "breadcrumbs" relating to site actions for potential future P2P network syncing
- Withdraw fees are now dynamically generated based on rank and current HIVE price
- Probably some other back end stuff you don't care about or other stuff I've forgotten

<center><h1>The Pledge Race to Become The Benefactor Heats Up!</h1></center>

Not sure if everyone is aware but along side the proposal there is a competition going on in which one lucky (and savvy) development backer will have their rank upgraded to the exclusive <b>Benefactor</b>.

The leaderboard ranks users by the highest pledge towards development measured in HIVE amount. The backer on top of the list when the timer runs out will be upgraded to the <b>Benefactor</b> rank which grants them the permanent perk, granting them a monthly payment of 10% of the site revenue credited to their account at the end of each month, forever. Only 1 <b>Benefactor</b> rank will ever exist and be awarded. This pledge leaderboard race is the method in which the it will be decided who gets to become <b>Benefactor</b>. While it's impossible to tell exactly what sort of monthly dividend amounts will be seen in the future something has the scales leaning towards large volume and with it hefty pay.

Truly blown away by the support and response from the community on this idea and proposal. Something like this has been a long time coming for the HIVE community and I'm certain that once operational the Hive.Loans service will see tons of usage as it enables new innovative ways to function given that at ones wish they'll be able to have HIVE liquidity based on their Hive Power account holdings. Truly believe this will help the ecosystem find more traction in the crypto ecosystem as well as make a merked improvement in quality of life to the users here on HIVE.
