Howdy folks! Sorry for the bit late weekly development report on the [Hive.Loans](https://Hive.loans) ongoing build. A huge amount of man hours and thought have went into the project over the past week with a total of well over 80 hours logged in regards to time in front of the coding console smashing out features.
Was really hoping to have the new v0.0.8 Pre-Alpha build to the point where I can uplaod it to the web server but it's not at a point where it would be a responsible thing to do. Got a number of key features built though including automated account ownership transfering, creating lending contracts, accepting contracts, manual repayment option and have started building an API for the site to offer up data pertaining to active loans, who is currently borrowing, hive historic prices and a few other planned feature that I'm going to keep close to my chest until I'm certain they'll integrate.

While still quite a hell of a long way from a production ready release pretty friggin' stoked to have the working prototype almost working to the point that it could be tested with test dummy accounts. As it sits the core functionality of the project is around 40% finished however that doesn't mean that the functions currently implemented don't need seriously tested and red team'd. If this rate of development continues we may very well see open public beta testing mid March but I'm sure as shit not promising that.. There is still a HELL of a lot of stuff to make it into the codebase, a bunch of refactoring and testing that needs to be done and then the UX needs to be made mobile friendly because right now I can only imagine what it would render like on a mobile screen.

Most critical actions on the site will drop what I'm dubbing "breadcrumbs". These breadcrumbs will eventually be used to help propagate a decentralized network of delegates that will run Hive.Loans Lend-Engine instances which will not only act as their own instance of the Hive.Loans site with any currency of their desire but also serve as validators of contract actions within the Hive.Loans ecosystem. Another idea I'm toying with is baking in a decentralized web-assembly network into the future Hive.Loans releases to allow for actual smart contracts to be written and developed, a few ideas on this but don't want to make this first build overly complicated.
Not entirely sure the P2P delegate stuff will make the first release, however assuming their is interest in that sort of thing perhaps a second round of DHF funding will be applied for in order to finance that, We'll have to see what happens. What's being build here is essentially the groundwork for a significant FinTech upgrade to the HIVE ecosystem as a whole.
Aiming to have a working v0.0.8 Pre-Alpha up on the webserver for sunday but we'll see.. I could put it up now with the contract accepting functions disabled but honestly would rather wait till I've got a stable working version to push for you guys so you can start buggering around with test dummy accounts to start getting a feel of the site and to provide feedback.
Thanks for reading this post. I apprecaite all teh comments, votes, praise and support. While I'd likely be building this even if none of that was happening it certainly makes my day when people go out of their way to comment or give feedback on stuff. Have a gooder!
