This is the result of years of training with experienced grapplers, martial artists, law enforcement and other industry professionals interested in self defense and personal protection. Weapons consideration is a very realistic threat in self defense. Defending against knife attacks, or knife usage in a fight, is a scary and dangerous possibility. In this video we explore a potential position one is likely to find themselves in in a physical confrontation if the fight hits the ground. We focus in this short segment specially on side control and transitioning from a severely inferior position to a potentially dominant one, using a sweep that is useful in a variety of fighting situations.
