This is my VLOG response to the changes proposed in the [steemitblog](https://steemit.com/steem/@steemitblog/proposed-changes-to-steem-economy). I really like the changes that are proposed but also believe that other changes to the ecosystem are required to turn things around. Currently the biggest problem for steem is retention of new users and of course attracting new users. The price decline is a result of these problems not the other way around. The decline in price accelerates the retention and acquisition issues and the inflation seems a very good think to change. Additionally I think there are three things we need to look at as well: - Content needs to have a longer life span than 1 day when it comes to collecting rewards - Content creators need to be rewarded more evenly - Curation needs to not change the natural behavior of picking what the users like vs what is profitable. Excellent point of view @knircky! There have been a lot of ideas regarding investment but few concerning consumption. Steem market as any other market will be defined by its offer and demand. In this special case both offer and demand are created and dynamically changed by the users. So the strategy to reward more and on a long term (at least during the first months) is evident and will work. It'll give back stability to the system and let it grow again.
