Sailing is one of those things you can come back to at any age.
You are still young.

I sailed as a kid for school sport and then as a passenger on other boats as a young adult then not for 25 year before buying a catamaran and sailing the length of the Med with 3 little kids onboard for half the time.

I have a few questions:

1) Why did you move from Miami to Ecuador?
2) What are "puppers"?

Nice idea ! I often have a look to see what Hivers propose on purpose of sailing, but hard to find !! I created by the past @maesha to tell my life onboard, but finally I let it due to low participation. on the platform. I write an article sometimes on my personnal account. Nice idea again, I will participate to this community, and let see!

I’m not a sailor … but I’m in my kayak each day. 

Maybe I should start a Hive Kayaker club ….

Yes, Hive is in real need of an active sailing community.

I'm not a sailor, but there must be more on Hive. We need to build communities around different interests.

Haha YES!

Some of my earliest Steemit memories were meeting an awesome group of international sailors from brand new to seasoned seafarers and every thing in between. I remember snapping pics and posting #sailingsunday post to tell the tale. 

Covid really did screw sailing up as we weren’t allowed go gather a crew and share a boat. That and a bit of the money dried up and I am told the yacht clubs are still very far from the same.

So glad to be starting sailing again on a new boat we have to learn all over again in order to competitively race. Also glad to see such an old friend back!
