Legendary Ledge Sesh With OG Greek Skateboarder Argiris

If you're keeping an eye on my Skatehive posts, then you already know there are only a couple of active skaters in the city where I spent my summer, and one of them is Argiris, a Greek OG skateboarder and local legend, grinding hardrails switch back when I was still learning to walk!

At 47 years old, Argiris is still out there ripping, skating at least once a week.

I really wanted to skate with him, so I hit him up when I moved to the beach house, but unfortunately he was recovering from an injury. Two weeks later, he was back on his board and we finally seshed the DIY ledge together last Saturday. And man... the sesh was LIT!

After getting a few warm-up 50-50s out of the way, we both started attacking the ledge with everything we had! From flip back 5-0s to nollie shuvit grinds, it was pure fire. I honestly hadn’t enjoyed skating that much in a long time.

We skated the ledge for about two hours, then chilled and spent the afternoon talking about how the Greek skate scene was back in the 90s, how things are globally today, and of course, ranting about how Greek politics still refuse to build skateparks haha.

I really hope I get to sesh with Argi again soon. Dude’s a beast and a real inspiration. I wanna be skating like him when I hit his age!

Thanks bro! Both Nosegrind shuvit and Nollie Crooked were first try! The hype was real!

The trick I injured my right knee one and a half month ago was bs nosegrind on ledge, and I haven't done one since then! Did 5 of em back to back in this sesh, then Bs Nosegrind shuvit first try haha! Skateboarding is awesome!

I agree! I'm 34 and I find oldheads much closer in skate wave length! We grew up in the same golden era skateboarding, that's why!
