Been working a lot the past couple months so I decided to take 4 days off and travel to the place I grew up and one of my favourite places to be, Konitsa GR.

**DAY 1**

Konitsa is home to 2 beautiful rivers, Voidomatis and Aoos. On my first day there I took my dog Biggie for a walk to Voidomatis and more specifically under the old stone bridge. Water is crystal clean but so cold (max 5°C) which makes it almost impossible to swim. Biggie didn't hesitate though hehehe! 

After our walk I met up with my family and we dine together at a restaurant called "Mersini" right next to the river. Felt good to finally share a meal with them and trust me, strout i what you wanna eat there! So delicious!

**DAY 2**

Nothing special during day time, just some walks to the village and chats with my family. Night was super-fun though as me and a few friends attended "G.O.A.T." festival. Festival was happening right bellow Aoos stone bridge on a full moon night! So good! Lots of artists, beer, souvlaki and best spot ever! 

**DAY 3**

Family dinner, walks with my dog and late night fun! Me andmy family drove to "Fourka", a village located 25km away from Konitsa and had a blast dancing traditional Epirous songs! Despite the cold and the rough road to get there, the festival was packed with people wanting to drink, dance and have fun! Just look at how much this 90 years old grandpa is enjoying himself. He even asked the clarinet player to play a song directly into his ear! Good times!

**DAY 4**

Last day at Konitsa means barbeque and damn we ate a lot! Good thing my doggie Biggie was guarding so no one could steal this sweet ewe meat hehehehe! After eating I paid a visit to my grandma, talked about stuff and showed me around her beautiful garden! She's 90 but she still takes care of her plants like they are her children! What really caught my attention was those pumpkins though! So beautiful! 

After some quality time with grandma I returned back to Ioannina city 100% refreshed! 4 days at Konitsa were enough to calm my mind and fill my "batteries".

Yeah man, place is beautiful! Was living there until I was 12, then I moved to the city. Best place for a child to grow up!
