The other day, I went to Howrah Station (West Bengal, India) to see off one of my friends. As I entered the station premises, I found the place overcrowded and busy. There were porters, passengers, hawkers and also beggars. The ticket collectors were busy checking tickets for the passengers. I entered the platform and found it still more crowded. Luggage and mail parcels were strewn all over the platform. Porters were carrying heavy loads upon their heads. A frequent announcement of the time of arrival and departure of trams came through loudspeakers. The passengers were spread along the whole length of the platform eagerly waiting for trains. As soon as the train arrived, a scramble to get in started. Small pieces of luggage were put through the windows. There were big hustles at the platforms. We had, however, no difficulty in finding the berth reserved for my friend. Occasional shrill whistles of the engines, the din and bustle of the crowd made the atmosphere still noisy. Howrah station seemed to be a mini India - with people from almost every State waiting for the respective trains. 

This is an amazing experience which nobody can ever have in his/her life until and unless he/she experiences for him/herself. This is such an experience which can’t be explained through a small write-up, nor can be explained with a lengthy conversation, it’s indeed an experience for someone to be present in person and feel it, see it and experience it.
