#### Introduction

Promotion of open source projects has been my passion since I became an active contributor on utopian platform with over 30 approved contributions in different categories. I've now become a full time open source projects promoter using facebook as my medium for promotion.

Esteem app was developed with the idea to make activities on steemit smarter and faster. A lot of people will appreciate using an app over a website and that's fact. Having already introduced and promoted steemit to a set of audience in my previous promotions, I decided to introduce and promote the esteem app so they can access steemit faster and easier.

The idea for this promotion was so people who were discouraged about the prospects of visiting the website everytime and spend more data can now be encouraged in the idea of the idea which will make things more simplified. Overall, the idea was also to promote steemit because there is no point promoting the app with first promoting the major compomonent on which the app is been developed.

#### Audience
Prior to my promotion of the esteem app, I have made two campaigns  to reach out to people in Nigeia about steemit. The campaigns were highly successful reaching a total number of over 7,000 Nigerians. 
For the promotion of the esteem app, my target audience was within same circumference as my campaigns for steemit.

#### Activity
To bring visibility to this project, I made a post about it on my  facebook page "Open Source Vybezz"  explaining what the app is about, how it works, and where they can download the app. Also I used the medium to explain steemit for those who will be reached with this new post and were unable to see my previous posts about steemit. 
Good amount of money was spent for this campaign which was neccessary in alignment to my thoughts and passion towards promoting open source projects.

#### Results
From the campaign I was able to reach a total of  9,141 people at the time of making this post, and the tally could still increase over time. The number of engagements was over 2,000

The campaign was boosted for effective reachabilty and was cut across two boosts.

From the screen shot above it can be seen that from the first boost a total of 3,230 people were reached and also 1,980 engagements.

 Analysing the first boost it shows that more people within the age range of 13-17 years were reached more than the rest age ranges and in total Men had a higher reach percentage of 69.1% according to the charts on the screenshot, while women had 30.1% .
