Hey, @hiveio and @threespeak! I am really excited to share this stream. Magic: The Gathering Arena just released Amonkhet! This and Hour of Devastation were some of my favorite expansions. They have a ton of nostalgia for me personally, as well. When I was still in high school in the 90’s, I played MTG with my friend Neal […this is two decades before it was cool to be a nerd]. About five years ago, I approached @tarotbyfergus at @caffetto and asked if I could join him if I bought a deck or two. The set I started with was Kaladesh, but Amonkhet and Hour of Devastation followed soon after.

This set isn’t Standard legal but it reminds me how much fun I had getting back in to MTG. I did a pack opening session and drew three mythic rares, including Cruel Reality! One of my all time favorite curse auras! There were so many great cards in Amonkhet. Big demons, awful curses and the cycling mechanic which paired well with mean creatures like the Archfiend of Ifnir. So there it is. If you’re a nerd for this kind of thing, I’ll probably be doing another opening session of Amonkhet soon, and of course, some game play. A few of the cards I drew will fit in well with decks I already have made.
