First full day back in Minnesota and it’s been a productive one. I’ve been pushing through the work to get our Proxy Prospectus at @eos.detroit finished by tonight. I’ve been working half days on this publication while traveling to LA and back, but I’m feeling good at closing it out tonight. Making a presentation tomorrow afternoon, then focusing on some website work, upcoming projects with Cryptowriter and some promising NFT deals. Looks like the whole world is going in to the second wave of lockdowns, including Minneapolis. I’ll be busy even if I’m indoors.

I’m here to share some new photography from the Los Angeles trip. On the drive, I stopped in Las Vegas for a few days. There I shot with Cervena Fox for the first time, then made a second whole day of hanging out with one of my best friends in the pinup scene. @vintagevandalizm, aka, Jasmin Rodriguez. We haven’t shot together since 2018, so this was a real opportunity for both us to flex our creative muscles and reaffirm that we both still “had it”. We drove to Nelson’s Landing. A ghost town outside of Vegas, and there found a few rustic locations that would compliment the wardrobe we brought.

The nice thing about a far drive was that we had an opportunity to catch up. Most of this year was a net loss as far as seeing friends and family. She gave me the run down on her life during most of 2020, and I gave her mine. Once we were shooting, it was like we hadn’t missed a beat. We fell back in to our usual rhythm. I know she knows her body and posing, and she knows I know what to capture. We were able to shoot for an hour, then starting making our way home as the sun set. We made a quick stop for some experimental drone footage, which was amazing. That’s exactly why I bought it.

All and in, the shoot was extraordinary. As 2020 comes to a close, I know I’m going to look back on these photos and relish that I took to the opportunity to still create, even throughout impossible circumstances. Seeing a friend like @vintagevandalizm brought so much comfort to my heart. It was an overdue reprieve of a year spent in isolation. There’s a lot more to come from this trip. I somehow managed to fit eight shoots in to ten days on the road. As @caffetto and the rest of the Twin Cities shuts down, I guess I’ll have plenty of time to edit and write.
