<p> The event called HackETHon and organised by the international news  corporation in partnership with Ethereum will take place in London on  9-11 September 2016. The <a href="https://hackethon.thomsonreuters.com/" rel="noopener">contest</a> participants will present their solutions for data management and improving Ethereum smart contracts security. </p>

<p>The winners will receive awards, however, their amount is not disclosed. During the HackETHon, reports on topical issues regarding smart  contracts will be presented. In particular, Péter Szilágyi, Core  Developer at Ethereum Foundation, will speak about “Breaking Ethereum:  Lessons learned from broken contracts.” The event’s partners include Barclays bank, British executive  non-departmental public body Innovate UK, a blockchain tech investment  and development company Coinsilium and two UK universities — UCL and  Imperial College London. The judging panel includes Prof. Will Knottenbelt, Head of  Cryptocurrency Research Group at Imperial College and Prof. Tomaso Aste,  Director of Centre of Blockchain Technologies at UCL, Péter Szilágyi,  Core Developer at Ethereum Foundation, Tim Baker, Global Head of Content  Strategy and Innovation at Thomson Reuters and Thomas Bertani, Founder  and CEO of Oraclize. </p>
