The thought behind **uPort** is that the basic issue of keeping keys can be avoided by the blockchain. To do as such, uPort utilizes the blockchain as a character confirmation expert where a smartcontract speaks to the computerized personality of a client while permitting the renouncement and substitution of that client's keys.
