Hello everyone, and welcome to another Splinterlnads Weekly Battle Challenge. I chose **PELACOR BANDIT** as my monster this time because I am currently renting out my **REGAL PERYTON** and would like to share my incredible battle with this monster.

First, we must know the story of the ***PELACOR BANDIT***'s and according to the Splinterlands [lore](https://splinterlands.com/?p=card_details&id=337&gold=true&edition=3&tab=lore); Many centuries ago, the Pelacor followed the prophet Edalus into the Mountains of Fire surrounding Mount Praetorous on what became known as the 'Exile.' They had lived alone in these mountains for generations, hidden away. They were taught to worship the sun and moon gods, Solaki and Lunaki, deities created from Edalus' dead parents' bones and his zealous mind. According to the scriptures, the two Gods were carried into the heavens on pieces of consecrated land torn from the World, so that their worshipers would always look up to them and forever be beneath their great heavenly power.

**PELACOR BANDIT** has two abilities which are best assets for being a bandit and these two abilities are **FLYING** https://i.imgur.com/XanHyO0.png and **SNEAK** https://i.imgur.com/ch52hqI.png which are automatically unlocked at level 1.

**PELACOR BANDIT** is a common monster from the water splinter that gives **5 CP** for the regular foil and **150 CP** for the gold foil version.

At the time of writing, the regular foil version of this card costs **$0.012** per BCX and requires **60 BCX** to upgrade to level 5, which costs **$.72** in total.

While the gold foil version is automatically level 2 and costs **0.359**, upgrading to level 5 would require *5 BCX* of this card.

This card can also be rented, with a regular foil level 1 costing only **0.095 DEC/Day** and an upgrade to level 5 costing **0.1**. While the level 5 gold foil version costs **0.490 DEC/Day**, and there is currently no level 2 available in the market.

# <center>WEAKNESS AND STRENGTHS  </center>  

**STRENGTHS** is an excellent backline defense monster due to his speed and **FLYING** ability, which causes **SNEAK** monsters to miss.


**WEAKNESS**. **PELACOR BANDIT** only has 1 damage and will struggle to eliminate backline monsters with this damage, which is why it is critical to level this monster up to level 4 to increase his 2 basic damage.

The game has a **25 MANA CAP** and a single ruleset which is **LOST LEGENDARIES** https://i.imgur.com/rTIcYw2.png which means no overpowered monsters will be used in this match. 
On this match, my strategy was to do a **SNEAK** duo with **PELACOR BANDIT** as my main monster and place him in the safest position possible, and I chose a tank + support combo to buy time for my **SNEAK** monsters to win the game.

**KELYA FRENDUL** is the best summoner for this match because she has +armor, which increases the defensive capabilities of my monsters, and +speed, which makes my **PELACOR BANDIT** more dangerous.

**THE FROZEN TORHILO** This monster was chosen as my main tank because of his ability **VOID**, which will counter magic damage monsters, as well as his high HP + ARMOR, which will allow him to tank physical damage.

**TIDE BITER** is the secondary tank due to his **REACH** ability, which allows him to deal damage even when placed second, and his **REFLECTION SHIELD**, which will negate any **BLAST** damage.

**URAEUS** is the second monster in my **SNEAK** combo, and it will be the finisher, eliminating the enemy's backline monsters.

The main character of this match is **PELACOR BANDIT**, whose high speed will make him the first monster to take its turn and can potentially eliminate the enemy backline before it can take its turn or remove/reduce the enemy's armor/HP while my **URAEUS** eliminates them.

**MERDAALI GUARDIAN** is my lone support and a much-needed one because of her **TANK HEAL** ability, which ensures that my **TORHILO** lives longer and buys time for my **SNEAK** combo to eliminate all of the enemy monsters and win the game.

**KELYA** vs **ALRIC** is a clash of the old and new eras. **KELYA** is a physical summoner, whereas **ALRIC** is a magical summoner. Based on our lineup, I have an advantage because the enemy summoner does not buff any of his monsters.

**<center>ROUND 1</center>**

We traded blows in the first round and most of the damage was taken by our monster's armor but I was able to get the first blood by reducing the enemy **DEEPLURKER** HP.

**<center> ROUND 2 & 3 </center>**

We traded kills in the second round, I lost my main tank and the enemy lost his primary damage dealer without having the chance to take their turn. While in the fourth round, I was able to finish his last position monster which put me in a numerical advantage.

**<center> ROUND 4 & 5  </center>**

The fourth round was a disaster for me. I lost two of my monsters because of his **DIEMONSHARK** ability **TRAMPLE** activated, but was able to come back because of the misses that my **PELACOR BANDIT** got and was able to finish off his **DIEMONSHARK** at the end of round 5.

In the final round with the game being 2v1, my **SNEAK** monsters were able to soundly finish the game without losing any of my monsters.

# AFTERTHOUGHTS

**PELACOR BANDIT** is one of my favorite monsters in the game; I used him a lot because he has my favorite ability, **SNEAK**, which is why I purchased the gold foil version of this card to maximize my earnings.
Since the enemy went for a physical lineup, I would change my tank and support combo in this match. Instead of getting a high mana cost monster with **TORHILO**, I will choose low mana cost monsters that will give me a solid 6 lineup monster.
