This looks a lot like my UE Boom 2 speaker that I have at home.  I think a lot of companies are moving towards this style.  It fills the room with sound more and it still has good range.  I would not hesitate to buy another speaker that is this shape and size.  This looks like it has a lot of newer features than mine does.  Very cool!  Nice hunt!
