✍️ Hello everyone. Today I introduce vegetables, which we grow in the land around our house. Me and my wife grew this vegetable 8 years ago. When we still lived in bangkok.
Last year I wrote a story about the food my wife cooked of this vegetable. In this post I will introduce and write the story of this vegetable, once again. For any friends who do not yet know this vegetable.
This vegetable is called Ficus lacor Buch, in Thai it is written as ผักเฮือด. Ficus lacor Buch is a perennial plant, the young leaves of Ficus lacor Buch is a vegetable one of a kind can be used for cooking. Ficus lacor Buch that planted in the land around the house. Around November or December, northern Thailand enters the winter season. Ficus lacor Buch will produce young leaves once a year to pick up for cooking.

✍️ Today me, my wife, and wife's brother, helped to pick up Ficus lacor Buch from the tree and we shared Ficus lacor Buch to cook for lunch. To pick up Ficus lacor Buch from the tree, we either have to climb the tree to pick up the young leaves of Ficus lacor Buch or use a stick to pick up the young leaves of Ficus lacor Buch.

✍️ After picking young leaves of Ficus lacor Buch from the tree. The wife had to select and pluck the young leaves that could be used for cooking, again. In addition, my wife had to collect coriander as a food ingredient for this lunch.

✍️ Today's food my wife cooked was ficus lacor buch curry with pork. This menu is a local food in the north of Thailand.

How to do ficus lacor buch curry with pork.

Put the curry paste in the pot, stir until the curry paste is cooked and fragrant. The next step, put the pork in the pot and stir-fry mixed with the curry paste until the pork is cooked. After that, add water to the pot and boil until the water boils and continue to simmer until the pork is tender. Last step, put Ficus lacor Buch in pot and keep boiling until Ficus lacor Buch is cooked, after that add coriander, turn off gas stove, done for this dish.
