Wow great point of view. I think in coming years, steemit will skyrocket as regular laymen become aware of its potential, and of course it is first to market in the social media crypto space. Its value is far greater than Facebook, just not as well known....YET

Honestly, I would say Steemit is not worth 1% of FB, not yet, we don't have 0.1% of their active users, we have not allocated 0.01 % of the development funding to reach the masses or make moonshots,  we don't have 0.001% of their marketing tools, and we don't even have 0.0001% of their advertising financial power...**YET**

But someday we will have that 1%, and when that day comes Steem we'll be worth 100x more than FaceBroke's 1%:

Sorry but no, no it's not. It's not worth 1% and it's nothing like Facebook.

Steemit is much better than Facebook.

It's a valid comparison, but it took Facebook more than a decade to get to $500bn, and Facebook also has over a billion users.  Steemit has a shot at that, but there will be MANY needed improvements to get there, and a LOT more onboarding of users.  But you're on the right trail, bc Zberg already knows about crypto and Steem, otherwise he wouldn't have printed his New Year's missive indirectly about Steemit, check it out...

You can't just think Facebook anymore  steem is not just steemit. There is also dtube, so think about replacing Facebook + YouTube all with the same entity. What would that market cap be? Oh yeah then SMTs are coming so replace all comment sections on every website ever, see ya later discuss, mix all that in too. SoundCloud? Forget it, a steem replacement for that will come too.

Hate to be the party crasher, but steemit is not going to replace facebook any time soon. 

If for no other reason (so neglecting switching costs, advertiser influence, better curation and group management, etc etc), facebook's dopamine hacking is much better than steemit's. 

Obviously, I'm a steemit supporter, but let's be realistic.

Very informative. Personally, I never liked Facebook. 
But Facebook is the platform where i can share our feelings with friends and they respond with out any concern but here everyone have concern with each other!!!!!!!!!

I agree that STEEM will be worth more than FB, because we offer MUCH MORE than Facebook does!

We will all have to work together and support each other in order to reach that level, but we can see it happening. 

We would all like to believe that this is how social media should be. Let Steemit redefine it.

I believe; steem will keep growing if Facebook and Youtube continue down the road of censorship.  I'm not to sure if steem going to be the next social media giant, but I believe the framework will power future generations social media sites.
