오늘자로 스티미언이 된 크립토최 (@kriptortsoi) 라고 합니다 ㅎㅎ 인사드려요.

가상화폐는 참 배우면 배울 수록 재미있는 세상 같습니다. 제가 올해 연초 이더리움을 구매하면서 가상화폐에 입문했을때만 해도 이더리움은 단순히 비트코인처럼 화폐의 기능만 하는 줄 알았는데 블록체인에 기반해 단순한 화폐를 넘어서는 기능을 해낼 수 있다는 사실에 무척 놀랐네요. 블록체인의 무궁무진한 포텐셜에 대해 배워갈수록 제 4차 산업혁명이란게 이런거구나, IOT, IOV 는 이런식으로 구현이 되겠구나, 하는 구체적인 그림을 그릴 수 있게 되는거 같습니다. 

단순한 화폐의 기능을 넘어서 블록체인 위에 구현되는 탈중앙화 애플리케이션이라는게 있고 또 그 기술을 활용해 스토리지 서비스라던가 슈퍼컴퓨터를 구성한다는 아이디어 들을 보고 한동안 입이 다물어지지 않았네요 ㅎㅎ 게다가 요즘은 블록체인을 활용하는 새로운 아이디어들이 토큰화하기가 갈수록 수월해 져서 새로운 비지니스 아이디어들이 쏟아져 나오는거 같습니다. 

이런 아이디어들을 접하고 머릿속에 과연 가능할까, 우리 삶이 어떻게 바뀔까 상상해보는 건 참 즐거운 일입니다. 새로운 기술이 가져다주는 가능성을 발판삼아 세상을 바꿀만한 아이디어에 다들 도전하고 있는거겠지요. 물론 IT 버블때 나왔던 수많은 아이디어 중에 너무 앞서갔다 던지, 수요가 없는 서비스를 한다던지, 운영이 제대로 되지 않아 궤도에 오르지도 못하고 사장된 벤처기업이 십중팔구는 되듯 현존하는 코인들, 그리고 지금 진행되는 ICO들, 그리고 앞으로도 수없이 나올 코인들 중에 성공할 코인은 얼마 되지 않겠지요. 수많은 아이디어 중에서 옥석을 가려내는 그 과정이 참 재미있습니다. 

마치 제가 투자자가 된 느낌이랄까요? 사실 아이디어를 검토하고 마음에 드는게 있으면 ICO에 참여하거나 코인을 구매하는거니 투자자가 맞는 셈이죠. 불과 몇달전만 해도 투자라고 하면 Shark Tank 같이 수트를 쫙 빼 입은 억만장자들이나 하는 것이라고 생각했는데 기술의 발전으로 인해 벤처 캐피탈리스트와 월가의 투자자들만이 할 수 있었던 걸 나도 할수 있다고 생각하니까 우리는 참 좋은 시대에 살고 있는거 같습니다. 

그런 의미에서 여기 스티밋은 가상화폐를 취미로 하는 사람들의 모임이라고 볼 수 있겠죠?. 같이 공부하고 같이 정보를 나누고 친목도 만들어가는 투자자들의 모임이자 앞으로 새로 다가올 세상에 대해 상상해보고 연구해 보는 그런 커뮤니티죠. 앞으로 좋은 정보 많이 나누고 또 가상화폐와 블록체인이 바꾸어갈 세상에 대해 같이 얘기 나누어 보길 기대합니다.

Hello there!
I go by the name of Kriptor Tsoi. Nice to meet you. 
If my name sounds familiar, that's because it's a pun of my favorite 70's/80's artist Viktor Tsoi, a Soviet-Korean rocker.

I find cryptocurrency to be such a fascinating subject, and the more and more I learn about it, I get absorbed by it. It reminds me of the time when I first discovered Michael Jackson's music in the year 2000 as a teenager growing up in South Korea. I don't think I've ever been this excited in my recent memory. 

When I made a small purchase of ethers earlier this year and set my foot in the cryptospace for the first time, I simply regarded ethereum as a Bitcoin 2.0, a better crypto money. It came to me as such a surprise that so much progress has been made in the blockchain technology since Bitcoin that now cryptocurrencies allow things beyond payments. As I delved more and more into the subject and started navigating the huge world of cryptocurrencies, I became better able to picture what the future would actually like! I was in such awe to learn about the numerous blockchain applications (smart contracts, DApps, decentralized supercomputing and storage, to name a few), and instantly fell in love with its boundless potentials. 

It is such an intellectually stimulating activity to learn about these new ideas, consider their feasibility, and ultimately how they are going to change the world we live in. Of course, the majority of these ideas, as we have seen during the dotcom bubble, will fail to launch or be successful due to various reasons like being too ahead of its time, targeting a non-existent market, or due to poor business management. But nevertheless, the process of finding the diamond in the rough is very fun. 

This makes me feel as if I am an investor. Well, I review ideas, do my due-diligence, and commit to an ICO or actually purchase coins. So in a way, I am an investor. This would have been quite unimaginable even just several months ago where the idea of an investor, to me, meant a millionaire suit on Shark Tank. Now I could be investing without being an accredited investor and without having millions in my pocket. What a time to be alive. 

On that note, I'm very excited to be part of Steemit. I am pleased to be part of a community of people interested in cryptocurrency and how this technological innovation could change the world. Let's brew something together!
