Don’t Forget Fundamentals!

<p>I can't stress the importance of fundamentals too strongly. It's the thing which usually gets athletes out of slumps. Going back to fundamentals usually gives new insight from a new perspective to the things you "already know."&nbsp;</p>
<p>I went back to fundamentals this week-end. I, once again read Think and Grow Rich, by Napoleon Hill. It was the first self-improvement book I ever read when I was still a teenager. I've read it many more times over the years but, it had been several years since I'd taken the time to sit down and read it "cover to cover."</p>
<p>The ideas it prompted, reading it from my present perspective, were eye-opening, to say the least.&nbsp;</p>
<p>In case you aren't familiar with "T&amp;GR" it was first published in 1937. It has been republished, quoted and referred to more than any other book about self-help except for the Bible. It's widely accepted as the Grandaddy of all self-improvement books. The book is also widely available for free in electronic version on the internet.&nbsp;</p>

<p>In "T&amp;GR," Hill emphasizes that all achievement begins with desire - not just any desire, but a "Burning Desire." He gives step-by-step instruction on how to develop a burning desire for riches and a plan of action for turning that desire into reality.</p>
<p>Hills insight amazes me! He covers topics like "sixth sense" and "infinite intelligence" in ways that most would think to be new insights. I've been reading a lot about what is being discovered in Quantum Physics about the interelationship between energy and matter, thought and manifestation, etc. I found nothing in Hill's book which isn't supported by the findings on Quantum Physics. Don't skip the book because you think it's too old to be of any use!</p>
<p>The only thing I find lacking in Think and Grow Rich, is the affliction that millions suffer from and that's not feeling worthy of having wealth. You've (if you follow me) seen me cover that in quite some detail. It's the major reason it took me so many years to finally make "success" methods work for me.</p>
<p>Hill's "Thirteen Steps to Riches," are complete and comprehensive. Once you have the feeling that you are worthy of being wealthy, the rest is all there. Sure, there are many other things you can use to help you on your own road to success. many, if not most of them, can be used in conjunction with the teachings of "T&amp;GR." They'll make the mastery of the concepts easier and smoother but the basice are all in the book, though some of it may seem unbelievable to the novice.</p>
<p>My recommendation - get and study Think and Grow Rich, along with its teachings learn to wipe out all you feelings of inadequacy and unworthiness. Overcome the limiting thoughts in your subconscious that wealth is bad or not for you.&nbsp;</p>
<p>As Hill says, this is not an overnight process. It takes concentrated, persistent, application.&nbsp;</p>
