Natural Law- it all boils down to natural law-

is it your right to- kill (steal another's life)
is it your right to imprision (steal another's freedom)
is it your right to do bodily harm (steal another's right - NOT to have their body harmed)
is it your right to steal another's property
is it your right to TAX someone- (steal their property- their life their work etc)
is it your right to DECEIVE (steal another's right to the TRUTH)
is it your right to trespass (steal their other person's right to peaceful domicile in their own home)...

is it your right to ban GUNS - (thereby stealing away another person's right to DEFEND themselves...)

on & on....

Then there arises a "rule" that freedom should respect and not interfere with the freedom of others. therefore our freedom exists that limits it, so it is not really free as we think it is. Our freedom is still limited by the existence of others.

And, it should be. Without respect for the existence of other human beings who both want freedom, then freedom is never there because everyone will interfere with the freedom of others. Finally that freedom is limited by the freedom of others and Freedom is always there limits and limit it one of them is the existence of others.

I'm not sure people even understand what freedom is anymore.

They are sooo used to being controlled by their parents, teachers, peer pressure, government, religion, their boss, even being controlled in forums & groups online, that to them, they think this is normal natural behavior.

People who get very upset when others talk about freedom have some serious emotional issues & the question is...

How do we break them down so they understand what FREEDOM really means?

I feel that religion is the biggest culprit. 

Most religions are ALL about fear, control rules, etc. They've pounded this concept into everyone's head for so long, they can't imagine a life with NO rules to tie them to someone who controls them.

Just like some slaves rated on other slaves to gain favor with their master, this is what many people do today in real life.

You should not do to others what we do not like.  Most of us trample on human and non human freedom because we feel we have the power to. As you said if we want to be truly free we have to respect the freedom of others beings.  I sure learnt a thing or two from this post.

unfortunately majority of people are not that conscious  to even think about deep meanings of  taking someones life, they just do, because they can.

This has been my dream forever, to just be free and to be! Outside of this construct that really we ‘have’ to abide by in order to live. I was always told that we have to do this, and we have to do that, to live and ‘it’s just how it is’ etc... 

I regularly think about what the earth would be like with no humans, really, all life would thrive! Plants and animals. They don’t need us to be here. In certain places where we ‘have’ to cull animals that’s from our own mistakes and introducing animals into the wrong habitat. Like in the fjord lands in New Zealand, they introduced a possum to kill something, but it ended up eating the bird eggs etcetc... just mistakes from humans basically taking over the world and the old fashioned heartless ones at the top not having any care or compassion towards the earth as a living being and the living peaceful beings on our planet!

I note there are several varieties of cattle, both wild and domesticated.  Cows on the dairies I've worked on are abused, and I've tried to stop it.  On the other hand, they got it pretty easy, as long as they are making milk. When they age out of productive ability, they are killed.  Not a good retirement plan, but a slack life, as long as you're not a bull.  Life for most bulls is rather shorter and less idyllic. 

Gaur, a wild Indian relation that can stand a couple meters tall at the shoulder, are highly dangerous, particularly the bulls--but they live in fear.  They live in fear not of people, but tigers, who prey on them.  

I was raised pretty much wild, or feral, in Alaska.  I have also been held as a captive.  There are pluses and minuses to each state, TBQH.  When I lived in the woods, while no one fed me, and I did face dangerous predators competing for food sources, I was also socially isolated, alone in the forest.

As a captive I received three hots and a cot, and had plenty of company in quite close quarters the accommodations provided.  

I am confident that many people I know would much prefer captivity, even under the unlawful and horrible conditions commonly practiced now and historically.  I preferred the woods, myself.

That may change as I get more infirm, and there is a trend in Japan (among other places) where poor elderly folk without family to care for them deliberately commit crimes so they can retire to jails.

Doesn't sound attractive to me honestly, but YMMV.

We were taught this when I was young . It must not be taught anymore . It is the key to any civilization to survive . All wrongdoing , conflicts violates this principal .
Do people have the right to protest . Absolutely . What they don't have the right to do is block roads , destroy property or any of the other acts allowed  due to political correctness . 
Maybe if people would just stop and think am I violate there rights by doing this or that would help , but people don't think or care when in a group mentality . 
I find it amazing how people support something until it involves them personnel or hampers their wrights . As long as it's happening to someone else it's ok .
