Does The "Make It Rain" Machine Come With Those Robot Strippers From CES 2018?

I guess if I had money to burn I would find a way to convince my wife that we needed a "conversation piece" for the living room.  

Unfortunately i'm no where close to filthy rich so I wasn't interested knowing anything about the stripper robots that i've been seeing headlines about at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES).

However, stories interest me so I was curious when I saw an article titled [Here’s the story behind the pole-dancing robots everyone’s talking about at CES ](https://www.recode.net/2018/1/9/16870894/ces-2018-pole-dancing-robots-giles-walker-strip-club-las-vegas).

Here are the interesting points:

* the pole-dancing robots became viral from this [tweet](https://twitter.com/Namastaywoke/status/937129871368744960)

* not a product for the future; CES gimmick _(saves me a tough conversation with my spouse)_

* the work of an artist named Giles Walker, a 50-year-old Brit who describes himself as a scrap metal artist with a passion for building animatronic robots. One of his other projects, The Last Supper, features 13 robots interacting around a table.

* you can rent them for events _(this answers my question if there is any diversity in the CES event committee)_

* Walker created the um...pieces of art to make a statement about voyeurism and surveilence .  Walker says he got the idea for pole-dancing robots more than seven years ago, when he noticed the rise of CCTV cameras being used as a way to surveil people in Britain for safety purposes, what he called “mechanical Peeping Toms.”

I wonder how many companies at CES are wondering why the robot strippers received more headlines than they did.

The answer is easy:  sometimes you have to have a gimmick!

well, at least they survived, cause on 2 days there were such a heavy rain and they had blackouts here and then, but it is still one of the most interessing exhibitions.
I am also excited about innovations in the automotitve sector...
