It seems like yesterday when we began the Afri-tunes Project, and today we have reached the 48th week. I remember when it was known as [Afri-tunes Weekend Event](https://peakd.com/hive-193816/@ksam/special-updates-on-highlife-weekend-afri-tunes-weekend) under the lovely Music Community, where we got support and love from the wonderful admins, moderators and the musical family, and most importantly, a HOME. 

However, after 5 weeks of our existence, we took a leap of faith and moved into our own community. We were unsure of how it'll be and how we'd support our members who create quality content. It was really a tough ride with lots of difficulties, but with the help of God we remained consistent whether during "rainy" or "dry" seasons.

In four weeks time, we'd be celebrating Week 52. What does that mean??? 

1 YEAR on the chain!!!

One year of consistency; one year of celebrating the African Tunes and music on Hive; one year of rewarding awesome African musical content on the chain; one year of spreading love and fun through our little way; one year of building our little family and friends, as well as establishing awesome relationships on the chain; one year of God's favour, guidance and direction on us.

Indeed, this is a great reason to thank God, and give him all the praise. Also, it is a great reason to thank all those who supported us from the onset till this moment, as well as those who have been with the community and have persevered with us as we struggled. I also thank all those who joined [Afri-tunes Curation trail](https://hive.vote/dash.php?trail=Afri-tunes&i=1) to support us in curating quality African musical content across Hive. Our lovely sponsors of our weekly event, and the wonderful Curators who support our content also.

I'm sure we all would love to celebrate the week in a great way. I also wish to.... and we love to hear your opinion or suggestions on what we can do to make the week remarkable for the community and for Hive.

Wow..

Soon we will one year on the chain...
Wow... Feels like yesterday, I can even remember my first song here and how everything first started in music community..

It has really been a blessing meeting and knowing you guys..
I met a lot of amazing Nigerian friends here on hive that have never seen till today in real life. 
N that's one of the things I am most grateful for. 

I remember when i use to come here when I want to laugh.. 😂😂😂

This community was one of the things that made my year in 2o22 believe me.. 

Staying at home for months wouldn't have been easy at all without you guys and a place like this.

Thank you @ksam for being an amazing leader and for answering the call. 
I learn a lot of you ksam..

Although I wasn't here when the community started I'm glad to be a part of the community now. Starting something new can be scary at first because of the fear of failure.
This is why it is good to have faith and a positive mindset.
You played your guitar so well, as beautiful and melodious as always. I love the extra unique touch.

Yea
Starting was so scary... 
And what's more scaring is sustaining a Hive Community....

Before we had curation trail, at some points we had regular 0.01 on many posts, and people who don't understand how things work out started complaining... as though we had the power.

Amidst the sacrifice and all, we thank all those who stood with us... its been a long ride... but with consistency, we are getting higher and better!!!

Wao ! What a journey it has been boss man. I can imagine the struggle  because never has it been known that beginning a thing especially with no surety of survival is easy. But you struggled with your crew and here the community is really thriving now. Kudos to you Baba and all those who you have been working with. 

Omo as e be so, next four weeks na celebration upon celebration o. Pizza go dey for everybody na for our one year anniversary 😅
As for me and myself, I'm suggesting we do a special event for the one year anniversary (a contest like) .  People should do African production on the occasion. 

Before I forget, why be say u dey always like to post last and you go com use am spoil everybody own.  O boy see work nah. Guy take time oo
All these small babes wey I dey try gather for myself now, u no wan even let me enjoy small,  u still dey collect them in a subtle way. Guy I repeat, take time o.
