Star Trek Fan project is dead: Stage 9 was killed by CBS :( (Enterprise-D recreation project)
First of: I know this is not a post I usually do, but:

Stage 9 was a fan based Enterprise-D recreation project, I really enjoyed watching.

The goal was to recreate the Enterprise-D as close as possible. Since there are rooms at the ship that had names, have been talked about and were present in the layout, the creators tried to recreate like they "may look like".

There were 10 releases of Stage 9 as free download available, usually commented by a release-video on YouTube. To watch those videos was quite funny, because the releases (all alpha versions) contained a lot of bugs. But what they did and how it looked was quite impressive.

Well, after 2 years of development CBS decidet that it' against the rules: 

<i>An update. On Wednesday 12th Sep we received a Cease and Desist from CBS requiring us to cease development. We'll be making a longer statement on Discord shortly. We hope you enjoyed Stage 9 while it lasted! From all the team, Live long and prosper."</i>

and killed the project :/

The guys from stage-9 asked CBS what elements of the recreation were the cause of the complaint and suggested to remove that. But CBS said that the whole concept has to be taken down.

I am kind of happy that I got the latest release before that happened. It has a lot of bugs and it's far from complete. But it looks damn good...
