## Brave Swap

So at this point, just by looking at the graphic, you can probably tell that Brave is the obvious choice for a web browser. Not only does it have all these amazing privacy features and chrome extensions, but it also has a ton of crypto features. As someone who's used Brave for years now for all my web browsing needs, I've seen this thing evolve in such a way that I wouldn't consider ever using another browser. As it has evolved, its focus on crypto has become more front and center. Recently, the built in crypto wallet was unveiled and it was a game changer. A Metamask alternative that's actually a good competitor. So you can use this browser with all its security and privacy features to handle most of your crypto needs without even installing an extension. How convenient!

Before you can take advantage of the Brave Swap service, you need to set up the crypto wallet. This can be done under the Wallet tab in settings. It's the same setup as Metamask, create account, write down your recovery phrase, and you're in. If you've never set up a wallet before, Google will do you some justice but it's pretty self explanatory and Brave literally tells you what to do. Once you have the wallet configured, you're gunna need some Ethereum in the wallet for gas fees and swapping. It seems the only current supported network is Ethereum as I tried to use Polygon and was met with this message.

I also couldn't really find anything that said it only supports Ethereum. So anyway, when you have your ETH in the wallet and you're ready to swap, it's as easy as it gets. The only thing with Ethereum is you're going to pay a kidney for the transaction but if you were gunna do it anyway, this is way more convenient than having to use Metamask to log into Uniswap. I'll be showing a swap using the Ropsten Ethereum testnet so you can see what that looks like and how easy it is. So first, you go to your Wallet tab and click Swap on the right side.

Then you select which crypto you want to swap for which crypto. Enter the amount, and click swap. There is a fee for using Brave Swap, a tiny 0.875% which is nothing if you're doing small swaps. Once you click swap, you'll get a pop-up from Brave to confirm the transaction.

As you can see, the aggregator being used is 0x which has never failed me. It will automatically find the cheapest DEX based on fees and slippage then handle the rest for you. Yes, I just swapped 1 ETH for $452 DAI. No, it isn't real. It's on the testnet. This is for educational purposes lol. So that's it! Very simple, clean interface that's easy to understand. I don't think anyone is gunna get confused using Brave's built in wallet and swap service. DeFi is amazing technology and Brave is helping bring that to the masses through the native wallet. So, uninstall Chrome. Download Brave.
