Introducing Proxi - The NFT Game Built by 'The Sims' Creator

Hope you're doing well on this fine Saturday morning. It's October and cryptos seem to be heating up. Seeing all the green in the market is a breath of fresh air, especially for someone like me who pays their bills and lives on crypto. Being down 25% can really dampen your mood when you have to pay for shit lol. Either way, I've been in the game a long time and I've become numb to the ups and downs. Now it's all about continuing to stack and ignoring the markets regardless of how they look. My focus is heavily on Hive and nothing can stop me but myself. Anywho... I saw an article that caught my interest recently and I just had to share my thoughts with you lovely folks. Did you ever play The Sims or SimCity? I played the shit out of both growing up so this got me a bit excited.

## Proxi

So the creator of The Sims, SimCity, and Spore - Will Wright - is currently building a new game called Proxi that's going to be centered around NFTs. The Sims was a life simulation, SimCity was a city/society simulation, and Proxi is a game focused on restructuring your mind through memories. It’s a simulation game driven by artificial intelligence, and it’s designed to take players on a journey of self-discovery aided and enhanced by true ownership of digital, in-game assets. Players start by creating a personal diorama of memories using in game items. Based on the items used and memories created, the game will us AI to generate an avatar. This avatar will be your in game character that allows you to play and interact with other players. Gallium aims to help players “gain more insights about their subconscious,” according to the announcement. Whatever the fuck that means. Don't get me wrong here - it sounds fucking cool but I just can't really picture what that would look like. Although, I'm no expert or game designer.

Proxi has a heavy focus on user-created content and NFT collectibles. It will allow users to own their memory creations as NFTs and buy/trade/sell user-created items in game. Gallium studios has partnered with Forte to handle the blockchain integration and NFTs. Forte allows users to purchase NFTs with USD and is blockchain-agnostic so it can work with many different blockchains. Hopefully blockchains with negligible fees like Harmony, xDai, Hive, etc... but they didn't really give any indication of which ones would be launched first. Proxi is set to launch on mobile this Fall and the starter/founder NFT packs have already sold out. Clearly there is at least demand for the NFTs for reselling but hopefully a lot of players as well.

This whole concept is kind of hard for me to grasp so I'll just have to wait and see what it looks like. It sounds really cool but I'm just gunna have to see it. There is almost no other information available yet but hopefully we get more details soon. I'll be following this one for sure.

Cool, gaining more insight over ones subconsciousness sounds interesting. I wonder how a game can deliver that. Kind of scary if it really can analyze one like that.
