Hace un par de días compartí una receta de cómo preparé cereal de avena y chocolate, una receta que amo. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algo similar, que disfruto mucho comer con yogur o también con leche y un poco de cereal. Hay muchas maneras de preparar granola y esta es mi manera de hacerla con las cosas que tengo en la cocina. Espero que te guste. 

**Para preparar esta granola utilicé:** maní, azúcar mascabo, semillas de lino, semillas de chía, mantequilla y avena en hojuelas.

A couple of days ago I shared a recipe of how I prepared oatmeal and chocolate cereal, a recipe that I love. Today I want to share with you something similar, which I really enjoy eating with yogurt or also with milk and a little cereal. There are many ways to prepare granola and this is my way of making it with the things I have in my kitchen. I hope you like it.

**To prepare this granola I used:** peanuts, muscovado sugar, flaxseeds, chia seeds, butter and oatmeal flakes.

Para mí no puede faltar frutos secos cuando se trata de hacer granola. Yo lo único que tenía era maní, así que con eso lo cociné. Pueden hacerlo también con almendras o incluso pistacho.

Coloqué un par de cucharaditas de mantequilla en una sartén y una vez que se derritió, añadí el maní que corté previamente en trozos pequeños. Pasados un par de minutos, añadí un poco de semillas de lino y de chia. Es importante cocinarlo a fuego lento.

I placed a couple of teaspoons of butter in a pan and once it melted, I added the peanuts that I had previously cut into small pieces. After a couple of minutes, I added a bit of flax and chia seeds. It is important to cook it over low heat.

Una vez que el maní ya comenzaba a tostarse un poco, añadí 1/2 taza de avena en hojuelas, mezclé todo muy bien y luego 1 cucharada de azúcar mascabo. Esto lo cociné a fuego lento sin dejar de remojer. El azúcar ayudará a que se creen pequeños grumos de mezcla un poco más duros y crocantes, que es una de las características principales de una buena granola.

Once the peanuts were starting to brown a bit, I added 1/2 cup of oatmeal flakes, mixed everything very well and then 1 tablespoon of brown sugar. I cooked this over low heat without stopping to soak. The sugar will help to create little lumps of mixture that are a bit harder and crispier, which is one of the main characteristics of a good granola.

Así quedó la granola, tal como se puede ser en la fotografía de abajo. Si quieres que te dure la granola por unos días, debes almacenarlo en un envase de vidrio con tapa, pero te recomiendo que esperes a que se enfríe.

Siempre es más rico comer granola con yogur, al menos para mí, pero como no tenía, me lo comí con un poco de leche y cereal. El sabor es increíble y si te animas a prepararla te aseguro que no sentirás necesidad de comprarla.
